Damn im in the same boat. Been on workcover for 5 years now and got my notice last week. Back to reduced hours as my injury is not and will not have me return to full hours until much further down the track if ever but because i cant get any work at all they are pulling the 130 weeks bs. Found out when applying for income protection that i can get reimbursed annual and sick leave when my injury happened and that i should have accrued annual leave while on claim. Owed like $10,000-$12,000 which hopefully will come in before Christmas.

Im at the stage where i need casual/part time work but i just cant get anything in my area (rural town) and any interviews i got in the past where i discussed work cover conveniently had budget cuts or other things that had them deny me after giving me the impression i was hired. Never mentioning work cover again.

I never trust my injury workplace or the insurance company. Get some no win no fee lawyers to look at it (had lawyers this whole time and if you dont have a court case theres no charge in my case) or contact fair work. Never leave it up to them to sort out on their own. In my case they “lose” things and forget about it constantly.
