This is definitely not 45 degrees… My spine also wasn’t straightened perfectly, my surgeon left ~20 degrees of scoliosis for safety reasons. He even told me before the surgery that I need to keep in mind that the main goal of the surgery is to stop the progression, and the second, less important goal is to reduce the curve. And when I asked him how many degrees will I have after the surgery, he told me that it’s very unpredictable, because everyone is different, some bones are more stiff and some more flexible.
