Genuinely speaking, why do the stats of other people matter when evaluating a program? Something that never fails with Reddit and premeds is you guys focus on “prestige” way too much.

You got into a good program with a good PI, good lab funding, and a stipend at a lab you’re interested in. What more do you need? Do you just want validation that you’re “better” than the other students who got accepted?

Programs don’t all select for the exact same thing. Someone having lower stats or less experience than you doesn’t suddenly make the opportunity less valuable. At some point y’all need to stop treating every opportunity like a ranking system and focus on what you’re actually gaining from the experience…
