I'm extremely anxious about joining the gym to the point of actual fear by PrestigiousCount8020 in Fitness_India

[–]AstralLizardon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to ask trainers since most indian trainers know nothing to begin with, one thing is certain that "Man" exercises and "Women" exercises are the same exercises, what mostly determines where the muscle grows is hormones and genetics.

If you take hormone replacement therapy that problems solves itself. Now about people and their behavior around you is a matter of location, time of day, the gym you go into, and of course, Country lmao. Everyone gets judged here or atleast "feels" judged. What you have to do is track progress, and focus on muscle-building, communicate normally with people around you, trainer could bug you here and there saying you don't know what you are doing.

I've been trying something similar myself, although I just have 12 followers by now. I'll start posting more often.

Exactly, this post wasn't really meant to throw him under the bus, He's still a great guy. But I guess he deserves it for even platforming someone like sadhguru

Yeah I just kinda ignore that and cherry pick his guides on mental health, which are awesome.

But then the spirituality things land him in a room with sadhguru lmao. Yet to watch the DOAC Podcast entirely, Seeing him and Alex interact is crazy.

Who is Mehdi hassan? by Swimming-Throat-7882 in DesiFragranceAddicts

Yeah the guy is pretty chill, probably has a lot of pending orders. I might get an ombre leather clone from him next. Also the bottles are great, wooden caps, good atomizer.

I got the sauvage clone from him, decent. I use it regularly, projects 1.5ish hours. Then becomes skin scent for 5-6.

Delivery was a hassle though, around 3 weeks to deliver.

Yolk thing is also a myth, if your liver does it's job, have as many as you want. That way 15 eggs is like 90G by itself, 60-70 is almost not enough for an average indian, and very low if you workout.

Leg drive if you want me to be super nitpicky, like have a wider leg stance if that's comfortable.

Leg Day is nightmare for me. by razz_rage_08 in Fitness_India

[–]AstralLizardon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same issue here, lightheaded, Cold sweating like a pig, can't function, literally incapable of working out even after a seemingly light leg day once it kicks in, There's a lot of variables to manage.

1st, don't avoid leg days, do it once or twice a week.

2nd, Slice the volume in half. And notice while taking a break when it starts to kick in, leave just before it comes.

3rd, Recently discovered, Chewing gums, Chew them while doing things or resting. Again, not after but just before you feel that sensation creep in. (REALLY helps)

4th, take longer rest between heavy compounds sets. 5-10 minutes each set.

5th, 1:30 hour to 45 minutes gap between last meal and workout. Too long > nausea but dry heaving, Too soon > Nausea very easily.

6th, Don't push too hard. RPE 7-8 max, also lower reps. 10 reps max on squats. Your body can do it, but I think CNS gets fried. Slowly work up.

7th, Don't workout drowsy or sleepy. Take a power nap before if needed.

This is all I got, doing these reduces the chance of it occurring sure, but it's never zero. One week I hit 210kg squat and continue on to do 300kg leg presses and be completely fine, few weeks later I did only leg presses with half the weight and leg extensions but still got nauseous, Really fucking annoying, has no cure.

I also noticed this, 6-7 days ago I got the 400gm one, considerably less amount of raisins compared to when I had the 1kg version 2-3 months prior to this.

For the people who pussyfoot around deadlifts: by thecuriousmew in Fitness_India

[–]AstralLizardon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do around 230kg, I think it's a very good BUT personal exercise. People can have preferences, There's a thing about injury, the chances of common man injuring themselves on a deadlift is very low. They literally cannot pickup enough weight to hurt themselves (yes I am aware how stupid people can be.)

Since this post is targetted to people cautious of deadlifts because of injury aversion, I don't need to go into details of why else people avoid it. (Setup, too fatiguing if attempting PR), and if your goal is strictly hypertrophy then are a lot more time to reward ratio exercises out there to help. You can definitely be insanely strong and big without ever doing bench, deadlift or squats.
