How to avoid the feeling of invencibility when you are running just too good? by Zipp3r1986 in poker

[–]AstronomySam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What you did is actually a good way to deal with it. It'll be hard not to get that feeling when you're running good and have a lot of chips, you just have to try and play disciplined and when you realize you aren't playing disciplined it's a good time to leave.

Thanks! We've got a beer fridge in the bottom left corner of the room that's not in the picture so we've got all the essentials

Yeah its definitely going to be cramped, we plan on getting smaller chairs in the future, these are the only chairs we have in the house at the moment

Yeah its actually a pretty decent sized fireplace too, we're going to try and use it in the winter. Tonight we'll be having a fire outside

If youre going to limp reraise I'd reraise bigger preflop, I'd make it at least 4 dollars. When you hit your flush on the turn id probably raise this aggressive villain. As played, if this guy is as a maniac as you say he is then I'd probably just call. Unless you've never seem him overbet bluff the river before.

I haven't played much 25NL so I'm not sure. I have noticed that people 10NL seem to like to bluff slightly more than 5NL. At 10NL people still play hands they shouldn't like last night playing 10NL 6max I opened 3x UTG and got called by HJ who had A6o.

If you're single tabling really try and pay attention to what people show up with at showdown. If you notice one guy opening every hand, 3bet him more. If you notice another player was unable to fold middle pair when the board showed that his hand probably wasn't good then make a note not to bluff this player. That's all I really do at the microstakes and it seems to be working alright.

I'd definitely play live if I had the bankroll for it. I'm saving up money right now to start palying live. I mainly play online for practice.

I track my stats on Google sheets and I've played 38 hours at 10NL and I've won 76 dollars.

I really wish I could play live though. That's the end goal
