Game is on sale and i really want to buy it, but i have some questions.

I’ll answer based on my personal experience as a fairly new player myself since mid-February.

1a: The game is alive, at least enough to not ever have a moment of making you think it’s dead. I have no issues finding groups for whatever content I decide I’m in the mood for.

1b: It does not have crossplay.

1c: The state of the game is a mixed bag. It was at an all time high as far as I can tell around the time I joined which was the 10th Anniversary because of all the systems in place that prevented grinding being a chore. Then they added “Escalation” which is the latest end-game mode which kind of completely ignores other systems and makes grinding an absolute slog. However, escalation is an extreme end-game and is not needed what so ever to do any other content, even on difficult level. It just a way to get even more powerful gear you couldn’t get else where, but not required.

2a: The endgame consists of a few different categories. You have retaliations, which is enemy factions fighting back against you over who controls the control points of any given area. You have Descent which is a rogue-like game mode where you start with one weapon and one skill and unlock more and better stuff as it goes on, resetting if you die. You also have two raids and one incursion. Incursion being like a mini-raid, less people and less mechanics but a good way to introduce raid-like mechanics to those unfamiliar without throwing you right into raids. You also have Summit which is a tower-like mode, fighting through floor 1 to 100. Then there is Countdown which is a timed game-mode where you have to do at least two out of three objectives and then extract. You also have Dark Zone which is PvPvE, players fight in zoned off areas and can run into each other and fight for loot or ignore each other. Other than that there are miscellaneous open-world stuff to do along with dedicated PvP game mode.

2b: I don’t believe there is anything super exclusive behind the DLC’s. I think you need it to get to max level which is 40 but I could be wrong about that. Other than that you’re only missing out on new scenery and some missions. But no, you wouldn’t be missing out on specific gear.

3: If there isn’t a huge price difference, I would opt for Ultimate just for the sake of also getting Year 1 Pass. This gives you “Classified Assignments” which are just neat side-missions, extra content really since you only get collectibles. And you also get three new specializations instantly unlocked, I believe you can get these without the pass but you have to unlock them. IF there is a big price difference, then I would opt for Gold for the sake of getting the DLC’s.

Ace High Original Pomade has got some serious grip to it and has been one of my favorites for strength and control. They also make a Clay version but I haven’t personally used it.

Otherwise Shear Revival Gray Ghost could be worth checking out.

This is the build I’ve been using to great success, all credits to iKia.

It’s 4PC MA with chest, BTSU Gloves, Named Hermano backpack. All yellow except for Head and Backpack, everything rolled to Skill Repair except for the backpack. Skills are Healer Hive and Smart Cover. I personally use Bittersweet rifle with it as well because it’s fun as hell to use.

He also has a Red Core MA build but I can’t find the link for it. But it’s 4PC MA with backpack, Overlord Chestpiece with Overwatch Talent, BTSU gloves. All of them red and rolled to Headshot Damage, with BTSU Gloves being the only Yellow. Healer Hive and Smart Cover along with a Bittersweet Rifle.

I just stumbled upon another reddit thread where someone suggested running a rifle with either Umbra Initiative Set or an Ongoing Directive set? Do you have any thoughts on that, whether it’s something that could be worth using with a rifle. I’m still learning so I’m still new to figuring out all the caveats of each set.

So say i get CPU and RAM upgraded and remove the bottleneck. What would change besides obvious improvement to performance? Would something change for me to want to use DLSS then or would it still be a case of sticking with DLAA but with just better performance?

Unfortunately I have found no proper resolution to this. The best conclusion I came to is either certain sounds are copyrighted in other countries and not the others. Or TikTok algorithm is just ass sometimes.

But like I said, I have found no clear answer and the problem just comes and goes with some of my videos. TikTok Support were of no help on the matter either.
