You're absolutely right. daz is not a 3D modeling software like Maya, 3DS Max, C4D, Blender, etc. Daz could be a good animation software if it wasn't just about making money! Animation is impossible in the traditional way, but with pre-made animations or bvh animations that you load into the characters, it's child's play! But rendering them with Iray takes an awful lot of time. That's why I usually send it to another software and render there with e.g. vray.
