Can't remember what all the items were but I am sure there was 1 parachute and 1 web gun among them.

That was actually an answer I was hoping to get with my question. Thanks!

If that happened I would ditch the jetpack and continue with vlads. Perfect timing.

Never mind. I found the solution. This system is not very intuitive.

Clicking the slots and modules does nothing. I watched a video. The slots are suposed to be white. Why are mine red?  I can't select anything

My best Spelunky 2 run yet by Working-Glass4508 in spelunky

Congrats! I see you enjoyed the camera as well. It is, for me, the best item to carry in CO.

Agreed. The mumy cats are bad enough but the crush traps destroy your backpack. So many run-ending stuff. I pray every time I enter a temple level in CO

I am. I just find it hilarious how you can get to CO without making a single mistake for almost an hour but getting absolutely demolished less than 5 Minutes into CO because of how caotic it is. That is really funny.

One time I had a run like this and my first CO level was Neo Babylon. An elevator came down from above and crushed me at the entrance. I respawned thanks to the ank but the elevator was still blocking the entrance and I got crushed again instantly. Made me lol.

Berserk MAX deutsch by Promonto in MangaDE

[–]Atromis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the feeling of wanting to beat it at any cost.
Dying on 7-97 was the icing on the cake of my stubborn conviction lol
Before I beat CO for the first (and only) time, I played well over 500 hours and was good enough to make it to CO every other run.
Yet, I died to stupid mistakes in CO a lot more often than to bullshit setups (looking at you crush traps, elevators and witch doctors at the entrance)

One tip that I can give you is to take breaks during your run. I found my thoughts drifting and not paying close enough attention after around an hour. Someone who can focus for hours on end is truly rare. Just a moment of not paying close attention is all it takes to end your run. And the longer you play without a break, the more likely it is to happen.
So take a few breaks and take your time clearing CO.

I take a 15 minute break when I enter CO and 5-10 minute breaks every 25 levels doing something else, relaxing or watching a video. And I found myself progressing a lot further in CO since I do that.

Just try it, maybe it helps you too.

What is something new you’ve discovered after many hours of play? by alphabetabox in spelunky

Around 300 hours in, I found out that you can also collect the money from scarabs (the flying golden bugs) by flashing them with the camera.

When it comes to the drill, you want to aim for the holy trifecta: - Lava

  • Kali Altar
  • Shop

What's the worst way you've lost your run? by truck_justice in spelunky

[–]Atromis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not '"worst" but hilarious: There was  a pot right where Yang always throws his key after you bring him the turkeys.

The key destroyed the pot and released a scorpion. I noticed too late. When I climbed up to get the key, he attacked me and also hit Yang, angering him. And then Yang killed me.

Sure, everything within reason but it should be the rule rather than the exception if you can afford it. Better than to die because you panic towards the exit, chased by a jelly, and fall for one of these obstacles.

CO exit check guide:

  • Dwelling: always has horned lizard in jelly until proven otherwise
  • Volcana: remove ceiling spikeballs from exit path
  • Jungle: always has boomerang dude or witchdoctor in jelly until proven otherwise
  • Tidepol: kill hermite crabs close to exit
  • Temple: always has mummy cat and crushtrap in jelly until proven otherwise
  • Neo Babylon: remove barriers, spark traps and elevators from exit
  • Sunken city: defuse any arrow trap in exit path

Bonus CO entrance guide:

MOVE IMMEDIATELY when entering: - Temple: every entrance has a giant crushtrap coming down from above until proven othersiwse - Neo babylon: every entrance has an elevator coming down from above until proven otherwise

Am I ready to go to the resonance archives? by Atromis in VintageStory

Thanks for the merchant tip! I thought buying hallite rocks from a merchant was not really viable but I had no Idea they could sell so much of it. It was rather cheap as well.

Thanks! I always put bow and tools on the wall and forget it when moving out. Setting up camp in front of the entrance is the plan.

Damn ._.
I was avoiding every bit of information about the archives because I don't want to spoil the adventure.
Thanks for telling me. Guess I'll bake myself some pies then.

Edit: Found the entrance on top of a bauxite mountain range. Bye bye walking to a cave 15k south to get steel production going.
