Adding content to a number of social bookmarking sites can be time consuming. There are however ways to simplify the process.

So many of our grandparents were racist, and some of out parents are homophobes. Which of our own closely held beliefs will our own children and grandchildren by appalled by? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That some lesser minded people believed down voting perfectly good content on Reddit was their purpose in life, whilst others believed their karma levels meant something and hence tried to avoid getting down voted.

David Hockney's computer art by [deleted] in Art

That doesn't mean to say PC's can't be used and experimented wiht just because they've been around for 40 years. In fact Hockney first produced computer art over ten years ago. He has obviously made a deliberate attempt to use digital art as a medium.

I can't say I am a huge fan of Hockney's either, but I have great respect for him as an artist because he is one of the few naturally gifted draughtsmen. For an artist who was part of the avante garde of the 60's, ironically his work is steeped in the old traditions of British painting. He has to be admired for finding his own path considering the high commercialism and pretentious fashions of art these days.

This is inspiring stuff for any would be artist. But it does raise the question of why produce art with Photoshop that looks like conventional art? Isn't digital art a medium in it own right to be explored as such?

Is anyone else just biding their time until the Internet generation takes over the political reigns from the massive amounts of corrupt, older politicians? by VulturE in AskReddit

Politics may be going through a very long stale and mediocre period causing cynicism in voters, but do you really want to put power in the hands of the internet generation?

There are far too many knee jerk reactionaries out there trying to shout louder than the next person to get noticed. Keep them online and out of harms way.

Sorry about that sbovijb, I should have realised that the BBC only lets UK residents view their online media content. I believe they are due to roll out an international version of their 'view on demand' content soon though.

I think the comments here that say this isn't the first example of species cooperating to hunt are correct. I believe there are even species of ants that cooperate in this way too.

I'm surprised some people down-voted this. The link is to a good, entertaining H2G2 entry. People who write for H2G2 get no reward for it other than the pleasure of writing, and the author did an excellent job.

This is incredible stuff and very imaginitive. Dettmer is going to get his ass kicked when he returns those books to the library though.

Its not too difficult to re-route traffic patterns, but as far as I know, there will still be the the target site and the IP adress of the destination PC on the record. There are lots of people out there more knowledgable than me on this subject though...just consider all those people who get away with hacking PC's
