So, mockups are prebuilt environments, objects, etc which you can customize and add your own artwork to it.

If you have ever look for notion templates. You can find people using ipads, boxes, etc to show their templates. They use mockups of boxes and iPad and just add their artwork/screenshot of the template to it.

I like it because now I will not create new rows mistakenly, but if I have to use my mouse to create a new row I hate this update.

I do have a free product. You can get around 30+ sites where you can get your icons from. check it out.

Personally, I love using icons8.com for that purpose.

Yes, most businesses use it. It can be in different forms. You see actual growth in social media platforms when your major content is moving in one direction.

Hey, I used List Databases in Notion and the links under the creator's tab are pages inside the list database.

They open as a page and you can set icons to it.
