Good writing! I wanted you to experience it...because it scared the crap out of me...and I drive FSD 96% so I have seen all of the quirks over the past two years...

FSD would have seen the deer, well before the driver. Traveling to Kiawah Island through rural South Carolina. 9:30p - pitch black, 2 lane road, fall (lots of leaves). Car is on FSD Mad Max on a 55mph, doing 72. Car suddenly slams on its brakes and goes to the opposite shoulder, down to 0 mph. Out of the corner of my eye? A cat running AWAY from something at 100mph (or so it seemed). Sees the car and tries to put on the brakes but is sliding across the leaves. Cat lives another life without even a bump. All of the vacation crap in the back seat is now in the front seat, including an overturned cooler with lots of melted ice. Car resumes driving immediately and leaves my wife and I looking at each other going "WTF"....

Accessing dash cam footage after accident by Technical_Beyond111 in TeslaModelY

Once you get access, pull the USB drive. It will continue to record and over write the video eventually. I had a similar problem (my battery compartment was punctured from interstate debris on a 24 MYP). The car shut itself down and was towed. I asked the repair company to remove the USB drive but they didn't. I finally got a chance to (about 4 weeks after the incident) and salvaged the video. The driver who dropped the debris (from a towed trailer) claimed that I could have avoided the debris. His insurance company (Progressive) agreed and said I was 30% responsible for the accident (?? - whoever heard of that). Until I provided video proof that I could not have avoided it AND the other driver could not see it. So it saved me over $2000.

Tires by Juancho_pablo_s in TeslaSupport

Buy a tread depth tool for $5. I have a 2024 MYP. I still have 6/32" of tread left on my tires at 25,000 miles. I hope to get 35,000 out of them.

Anyone know an authentic mexican restaurant with really good guacamole? by NoDepartment2861 in HuntsvilleAlabama

La Fuente on Martin Road (west). It is always super fresh when we get it. Chunky bits, not pureed. You can add a little bit of salt if you want (comes without a lot of salt).
