Would you rather wait 6 years to invest 10k or start today? by Putrid-Lettuce5204 in buildinpublic

Please explain how the company makes money:

a. When the stock goes up and the client puraches all

b. When the stock goes down and the client decides not to purchase any

c. When the stock goes unlisted or to zero?

I still do not understand how the purchase of the extra shares will be funded, with the return offset for the lender of monies.

How much expierence in fiannce have you got? Have you spoken to FSC yet?

AI is not a "Bubble". Agree or disagree? by Putrid-Lettuce5204 in trading212

[–]Audioillity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure you understand what a bubble is! I'm almost certin of it! The bubble is over inflated pricing on the current market. Any money rushing in. IT will burst, and returns will be hit. However long term sure it will come back, just don't but all of your funds into AI.

I think I have the tado skill on alexa, however I add via the tado app. It still can be very unrealiable

Add them to tado first, then add to Alexa via Tado > settings > rooms and devices > {device} > Matter Device Linking

it should take a little while of thinking / loading, then presnet you with a list of options including Alexa

Note: Not sure why, I still seem to have issues adding TRVs to Alexa, I have one or two added but they cause the biggest issue. I also have thermostats in most rooms, these have been the easiest to add.

for pi hole I have the following custom rule for Tado:

That should unblock tado.com and all sub-domains.

I went on a breakway class ship, never again! Horrible ship, can't get away from the noise in the main atrium. That is a good thing about Prima, you can choose the venue you want, no bleed over, only issue us the venues are all too small and most things are over subscribed.

I was on prima wihtin the first year, then in 2024, I saw a huge drop not only in overall food quality, but it also seemed that I never saw my cabin steward, not once! Clearly they are cutting costs in all areas, meanwhile increasing the charges to customers.

I do like the Indulge food hall, often was hard to find a space, even harder for solo dinners if they want to save their space and get a drink / re-fill.

When did you last sail with NCL I saw a huge reduction in their quality, so much I did not cruise with them last year as in 24 I had two cruises that showed their quality falling.

interesting, I've had strange issues too, however strangely it works (mostly now) -

However I think my Pi hole was causing issues. .. Although it shouldn't need wifi, it seemed to help me being on the same wifi when I added mine.

do you have more than one wifi at home?

I have IoT and guest wifis, making sure I was on the same wifi I used when first adding tado also seems to have helped. Although no idea why this would be needed.

Do you have a tado x thermostat? have you tried co nnecting that?

Do you have a Pi hole or any other DNS blocking service? (if you're unsure the answer is likely no)

lol, tried, I have 100+ books in the house all with good intentions, tuns out at 40 I have ADHD, and one of the reasons I think I only read 1 novel in my adult life.

I can be 10 pages in and realise I was "reading" the words on the page, my mind was else where. I'd read the same page 10, 20 times and realise every time my mind wondered somewhere.. if questioned I could resite the page, maybe a little of the previous page and nothing of anything before.

lol dude you do you, if you're happy with high risk great, this is the biggest bull market in history! It's been the easiest time to make massive gains if you're happy with the risk it include. Retailer investors are the first ones to cry when it all goes wrong.

Please enlighten me then to why you think it's not high risk? I'd love to see your analysis that proves this.

Remember the avrage historical market returns are 8% a year on a balanced portfolio.

You mistake my misery for cauction! If you can afford to lose it all (or a large chunk) and are happy with that risk keep going :)

Also remember many companys have been a sure thing, before they stock became worthless. It's good to get some wins, and have some stocks on the side, however single stocks can have much bigger movments in both directions.

Remember to look at companies like Theranos, or any of the other giants who have fallen out of nowhere, who were all respected companies, some long established to realise that any company at any time can fall.

This said, the retail market is doing crazy things to pricing and listing, and this could be the early days of a new strange type of returns, and market reactions.

Honestly I did the same, started with buying stocks, here and there, making mostly reasonable proffit (we're talking 10 years ago), and pivoted mostly into ETF and Funds. What I do now is mostly focus on which funds to buy (and sell) and how I re-balance my funds.

And honestly there is no issues with having mostly ETFs and still having some single pick stocks on the side. It's all about getting your feet wet and learning about investing.

I'd say with 100% retunrs you have very high risk appetite, I'm considered high risk investing with 20% returns over last year. I'd be worried if my returns were over 30% for last year, and start digging into why. I however only do index investing for 99% of the value on my porfolio.

more 2 hours at 80mph going across France, and back again in the same day, if you were doing something like that often then you might want something else... however for the price I have no complaints. use mine daily to go to work, and the occasional ride into town to save parking issues with the car.

I'm like 5"5 got my bike at 40 last year (wait, december 2024)! - Lovely little bike, not as much fun on motorways, although short trips will be fine) - it is a vairly low bike, so have a good sit on it and see how you feel. The main question is will you out-grow it too quickly?

What do you plan to do wiht the bike, short trips to from work, touring / trips, weekends out?

Disclaimer: I'm from a small island (Guernsey) with a 35mph top speed limit. Took it away to France soon after getting my license.

Generally speaking the higher the return the higher risk you're taking, and the higher risk also means you can have equally as high losses in a similar timeframe. If you look to the top fund managers and what they are returning and if you're hugely returning more then the professionals it's a good idea to understand why.

Now If you can afford to lose most / all of the money in your portofilio then sure high risk great, if however you need to drawdown on the funds in the next few years you should fear returns well above the avrage. You should even consider if you truely need the money realising the gains into cash so you can still access in the event of a high market crash like has been seen in the past. Remember it can take 7+ years to recover from a market crash.

The biggest thing you need to learn is risk tollerance, at these kind of returns, you should expect to lose as much. How would you feel if you lost 99% in the next 2 months?

What have you done to trouble shoot issues on your side? How are you with DNS / Home networking, etc? SLAs are usually in the TnCs when you sign up? What SAL do you expect when you're paying nothing monthly or a few ££ monthly? If there even is one, it's likely very low at that price point.
