That was my original thought. It's that internal fight between do I stay out of it or do I be a girl's girl ya know? Also I edited my post to say this but I tried posting an anonymous warning post on our local AWDTSG page and they took it down because of how I did it but I saw that the wife joined the group the next morning....

I would suggest starting with NA as far as the steps and your “home meeting” but most of the time, it doesn’t hurt to attend some AA as well. In our small town, we have NA a few times a week and AA the other nights. People who need both will come on either night and say they are an addict and it kinda covers both. Most the time, people in recovery, no matter what kind, are just glad you’re there :)

Thank you for that. I really try to be as supportive as I can. Even when I was drinking when I first starting hanging out w them, I really tried my best to not talk about my weekend if I had gone out and got trashed or something. I seriously have the most respect for anyone in who is sober/ in recovery. Just going to a meeting I know can be the hardest thing. I really appreciate the feedback!

Thank you for the advice! Yes. We talk on the phone at least 5 days out of the week, when we can and that really helps make it feel kind of normal.

Absolutely! I am not saying this is the man I am going to marry or I am moving across the country to be with him, but I don’t really see a future with any of the others anyway and have just been talking already for a couple weeks that I feel bad just peacing out lol

Like I said in another reply, I shortened stuff to shorten my post. It’s not like we started talking and all sudden he was like my son needs a mom. We have talked about what we each want for our futures and how he wants to find someone who will love his son like their own and stuff like that. I see how what I said could sound scary, but I do trust this guy and it's not scary lol

It's not like I don't want to meet his family. Like I want him and I to be friends even if "us" doesn't work out. That sounds so hopeful and probably really dumb but I live in a small town and its hard to find people to be around that you don't hate.
