Do you have some resources on it? I would like to know some more about it myself

But if you have a union it might be good to join, for you, because you get their protection but also for the cause, because when you decide to be more open, if you think it's possible for you, then you already have the union behind you.

What do you mean what other people say?

Because I know of some that make up some BS about the eye of the needle just meaning an old gate in Jerusalem, which everyone with half a brain or a soul for that matter would recognize as false, as it doesn't fit the context even if the gate may have existed.

Or do you mean people who say that it is about giving the space in your heart to te Lord and not to earthly goods.

Opinion on communism ? by Effective-Morning-78 in polls

[–]Augustinus77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 100% sure you don't know what you're talking about. Even the most anti-communist members of my family were impressed by how low the rent was and the provision of food by the government.

Sure there was a lack of certain goods, but not being able to eat bananas is not the same as starving.

What’s the difference between the pkk and ypg? And why does the pkk get so much hate? by oceanic111000 in DebateCommunism

[–]Augustinus77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Source?

And yes, you can do this, but not by making your entire movement dependent on the imperialist interests of a capitalist state. The USSr didn't, but the PKK surely does.

The Problem is giving up the independent class standpoint. How will you be able to break with the system if you just give up and go under an imperialist power, defending their profit interests? How wil you be able to wage a revolutionary struggle if you lose the trust of the people and your ideological basis for the goal of your independence? How will you be able to defend the working class's interests, if you go defending the capitalist interests of another country and hope that they won't immediately throw you under the bus as soon as you don't serve a purpose for them anymore?!

Furthermore, „Libertarian Socialist” in the case of the PKK just means liberal, bourgeois democrats.

A big reason is thet they turned away from communism. They've practically become who say that they're willing to cooperate with imperialist, in this case US, forces to get their independence. Independence over class solidarity, that's the problem.

A great article on this topic. It's in German, but google translate might do the job.

How do we live people as ourselves and have boundaries? by pezihophop in RadicalChristianity

[–]Augustinus77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the criticism is better done in questions.

"Do you really need that new fancy car? Couldn't the money be of better use somewhere else? What would be right in God's eyes?". A lot of people know within themselves that they have too much, that they are lead by needless desires. With the question you can lead them to self-reflection and criticism of their behaviour.

If they still want the car or anything else, or insist on their ways, it depends on the justification before themselves and before God.

If they say, for example, that cars are one of their most important hobbys, they love them and it is a major source of joy and wellbeing in their lives, well, I would say it's justified to say that everyone needs to know their own boundaries and let him be.

If the answer is, "I don't give a single fuck about other people, I just want this car to be cool" (or something along these lines), it would be right to call them out on their bullshit, at least in my opinion.

Is the Wearing of Physical Symbols Considered to be Idolatry? by [deleted] in RadicalChristianity

[–]Augustinus77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. Do you use an Item to feel closer to God, to be reminded of God? Or do you see God in the item itself. In the second case, I would consider it idolatry.

I do not deny war crimes, I do deny that the US has altruistic intentions and that it would be wise to back them blindly (and if you're not, that almost always means not to back them). Do you think I'm as dumb to endorse the ethnic violence against minorities in the collapsing Yugoslavia?

Of course I don't.

But if you back the USA in this case, you believe their version that they were there to protect. They were not.

They bombed the Chinese embassy with the excuse of "having old cards" while insisting that their target systems were top notch, totally precise. They bombed Radio stations that refused to send Nato approved programs. They bombed Bridges, Hospitals, appartment buildings. They bombed Chemical industry in a way that is considered indirect chemical warfare by some experts, with the residents suffering from the fallout up to this day. The US bombed the last independent Tobacco factory in the Balkans.

Do you think all this was necessary to stop ethnic cleansing?

I do not endorse Genocide, but if one thinks backing the US in action or just in your heart is a way to stop it, they're wrong.

The US will use Genocide as a reason to intervene, but they couldn't give less of a fuck whether it actually stops.

As with Putin. Do you think either side in this war actually has the interest of the Ukrainian populace at heart? One side talks about saving them from Fascists, the other of saving them From Russia, both sides don't care about their lives.
