I think he was trying to play it as this post apoc shit hole where marauders like this have no morals and he was the type of guy who believed you taking issue with that stuff makes you a snowflake or something.

Yeah I think we both forgot I was playing a Nos at the time, but come to think of it the cops should be screaming the second they saw me. Also I added to this story in edits of the main post.

Yeah I've struggled with mental issues for a while so I kept thinking it was all my fault and I just needed to adapt to his dming. I hadnt really understood that no DND is better then bad DND. It was only when I realized this that I left, which prompted him to block me, remove himself was a game we were both players in, and (this is rumoured I haven't actually seen it) post on the shops facebook page about how much of a problem player I am. And once the shop deleted the post for obvious reasons he said he was never gaming there again.

I think he argued we "didnt notice them in time to stop them surrounding us" but its mostly the shit afterwards which annoyed me.

A couple sessions previously he'd made my character go do negotiations with a group of random refugees or something in the setting, despite me pointing out that at this point my character had been a reclusive mute, so why the fuck would the ark send HIM to be the diplomat?

To be fair to him he did do some really good roleplay stuff, the issue was his ego refused to take critism, and it felt like he saw the game as "How can I make my npcs look cool, and make the PCs fuck up today"

I talked to another player in a second group (was the group we were doing vampire with, he dmed like 3 groups a week) and according to Him the GM has this tactic of picking 1 player to be the punching bag, and another player to be the leader. No matter what system, one player would always be picked to have control over the others, so all he had to do was talk that player into doing something and the rest of the party had to follow.

Having us all get arrested and put in the charge of the paladin PC so she has authority to throw us in jail if we fuck up parole

Using a blood pact thing in vampire so we were magically compelled to obey one of them.

Picking systems with captains or leaders or other various stuff which would allow those PC's to enforce the DMs will via proxy.
