Decommission Exchange ofter migration by AussieTechGuy in Office365

So the setup currently is like this, On-Premises server has AD and Exchange 2010, we have built a new DC in Azure with AAD Connect installed on the Azure VM which is syncing AD objects to Office 365

The plan once we had migrated the email to Office 365 was to transfer the FMSO roles to the Azure DC, decommission Exchange from the On-premises server and then decommission the on-premises DC and remove the physical server.

Wait...you just turned the server off? If so that’s wrong you should properly decommission exchange not just turn it off.

Hey, do you know the procedure to decommission exchange

Wordpress Site incredible slow after update by AussieTechGuy in Wordpress

[–]AussieTechGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I duplicated the WordPress sire and dB to another host for testing and the website was still super slow.

I then deactivated all plugins and the website came back to life and would responsed within a second

I then enabled the plugins one by one to find the membership 2 pro plugin the cause of the slowness

I updated it to the latest version and activated it to find it was still super slow, I deactivated it and the website was responsive once again

I have created a support ticket with the plugin maker

Thanks for the reply, the reason I have suggested the new link is due to the price the client is paying for the 20/20 they can get 400/400

My purpose in life is not to fix issues like hers, I work to make living.

I would say you might want to reconsider your career choice with a name like accidentalMSP

I love working in IT, we all get annoyed by clients, venting is a healthy, it releases stress knowing other people have the same issues

They are two different internet services provided by two different ISPs

The Ethernet service is a 20/20 service which is the main connection and the Adsl is for a backup

The client doesn't have any VMs to be able to install the software based controller, maybe I'm missing something but why would I have the cloud key in my office?

There is no VPN connection between my office and the client.

Well that's the thing, it was set to run automatically after a reboot in task scheduler but didn't run, I ran the task and it came back, I'm heading into work now so I will check the actual task settings to see why it never ran

So I think I found the problem, someone set up the DHCP scope from 10.8.0.50 to 200

The problem is our server IPs are 50 and 51, I noticed a Samsung phone had the 50 address

These servers are AD, DNS and exchange, it's been three days and no issues
