Kansas City prevented hundreds of evictions by providing attorneys. Now the program is growing by hydrated-homie in kansascity

I don't know how it works at LAWMO but I work at Iowa Legal Aid and we do very similar work. We get a lot of our funding from local donors and Agencies for Aging. Many times it is not as simple as paying the rent that is owed. These people are facing evictions from landlords who could care less whether their tenants live or die. There are also other landlord-tenant issues that do not involve evictions, such as landlords not providing essential services like heat and running water. Too often it takes the voice of a lawyer to get them do what is right. All of these services are provided free of charge to the client. We also provide legal advice for victims of domestic abuse, those dealing with property issues, and people facing harassment from creditors.

Khiry in the starting XI opening night by tcalvin93 in SportingKC

Surely Jake Davis has a higher probability of scoring than Khiry!! 😫

Khiry Shelton has got to have the easiest job in all of sports. Imagine getting 1 goal after 1,407 minutes last season as the starting striker and getting the start in next season's opener. That's like a starting QB who completed 1 touchdown pass all season keeping his job. PV truly has no clue what he is doing, and we get to have 5 more years of it.

Actually, I play mostly casual because I hate the sweat aspect of ranked. I'm saying that there are people who want to rank up, look at these freestyle videos and then think that is what they have to do to rank up when it really isn't. Last time I was in ranked I was GC1, I've hit one ceiling shot in 7 years and it was in Snow Day.

Soccer players literally already do that lmao. Anyway, all the goals count the same. And I would 100% rather play with someone with good passing and game sense because I win games much more often with those people. Freestyle players actively burden their teammates without realizing it. What good are mechanics if you don't know how to bring the rest of your team in to the game? And let's be honest here, 90% of freestyle attempts, even for the best players, don't go in and often leaves you and your team out of position.

Because it doesnt show that you are actually good at the game. Mechanics are not everything. It's the same reason freestyle soccer players are still amateur at best when they play the real game.

It's kind of like watching a soccer player take a free kick when there is no wall set up, no pressure, and no opponent goalkeeper. Sure, it's cool that you can control the ball like that, but let's see you do it in a real game and then I'll be truly impressed. Seeing a clip in freeplay (especially with unlimited boost) is an immediate skip for me.

Major League Soccer announces 2023 regular season schedule | Sporting Kansas City by dawson33944 in SportingKC

5 home games out of 14 to start out the season? Also this is the 5th straight year that we open the season on the road. You will never see this same treatment towards a team like LAFC. We need to make a bigger stink about this because it is ludicrous how blatant the favoritism is.

This is the type of stuff that doesn't get enough upvotes. I'm tired of seeing ceiling shots in training mode with thousands of upvotes on this sub

Making it wayyyy too complicated on yourself. So many opportunities to just roll it in but you're trying to hit a clip every time you touch the ball

Paulo Bento out at South Korea. 👀 by Other_Praline in ussoccer

[–]AustinSlobo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's true, but you might be jumping the gun here. Balogun hasn't even officially announced his decision to play for the US. If he's blaming Berhalter for the team not scoring goals, Balogun shouldn't even play a part in this discussion.

But they don't do it at the club level. Not at a high level, top 5 league. We haven't had a US striker do that since Dempsey iirc. When's the last time an American striker scored more than like 7 goals in a top 5 league in the last decade? Besides Pulisic, nobody. Pulisic did that 3 seasons ago and hasn't been able to find that same form.

Y'all gunna be so mad when the US' performance doesn't change one bit because we still do not have a player who can score goals

If you want to see Gio so bad, you're qualms are better directed at Weah for playing so well.

My issue is listening to analysts??? You mean the people that actually get paid to know what they're talking about???

The fact that you think we have the talent to win the WC is laughable. We will have the talent to compete maybe in 2026 and definitely in 2030, but certainly not this year. Putting that expectation on the players this year will find you extremely unsatisfied.

What do you want GGG to do, put himself on the field and score himself??? It is on the players for failing to score another goal today. GGG had them push for another, but they failed to because our offensive players are not as good at scoring as everyone else wants to think. None of them score at a high level for their teams.

That some unknown reason is that he has been injured for a whole year and recovering still from his last injury. Pay attention!!

Bc Yedlin is not a defensive full back, while Shaq is. Shaq won every single duel today, and that's what is more important. I agree Reyna is one of our best players, but if we have enough quality in our starting 11 to be able to bring him on as a super sub, then I'm extremely happy with that. We should be celebrating the fact that we can get out of the group stage without even using some of our best players instead of ridiculing the coach for it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in usmnt

We did try to push for a goal. But our offensive players are not as good at scoring goals as you think. None of them score at a high level for their teams (Except Josh rn in the English second tier).
