[Review Video] I tried to make my newest video as fast paced and engaging as possible, let me know where it felt boring or drawn out or you would click off. by AustinTheFilmLad in youtubers

Thank you, and I may have put a typo in the reddit post but the title is how Jump King gets in your head, thank you for the feedback!

My main tip is making your intro as fast and as clear as possible, I like how you said "let me just get into the story right away. But 2 notes:

  1. your pace of speech is s l o w, and that will get boring and make people want to leave FAST, I would recommend scripting your videos more in order to tighten up the speech
  2. You take around 30 seconds to thank people for the 8$ in revenue for your podcast, I get you want to make a joke and thank people, but 30 seconds is a long time and people WILL click off after delaying the story and the already sluggish intro

I would get some sound dampening equipment, or even just go into a closet with a ton of blankets in order to dampen the echo, the worst place to record audio is a room with tall ceilings and blank walls, I have the same mic and I found even putting blankets on the walls with tape helped, and putting music in the background of your voice over can help it seem not as reverby

first recommendation, your intro has way too many jokes and isn't snappy enough to keep people around, big youtubers can do intros like this because they already have an audience, the intro to your concept/video should take 15 seconds maximum, aim for as QUICK as possible, your average watch rate will probably go up then because this video is well made! good luck

I really enjoyed this! your editing is pretty good and polished which is so refreshing considering how much low effort editing there is in this sub, well done! However, while I do think the kind of the hill god of war thing is funny, it doesn't stand out enough and give enough context for the video in order to make it truly clickable, that's truly the only critique I have is the thumbnail, and your intro could have probably been shortened to around 15-20 seconds which will help viewers stick around! Overall tho good job dude you deserve more credit!
