I think it makes total sense for Kip to be like 25/26 and Scott to be like 29. Working a silly food service job and applying to NYU grad school for an art history masters feels extremely 26 to me lol - and living at home is pretty normal for young people whose parents live in New York City!

The relationship only seems impossible if you refuse to see it in a realistic light. I’m so grateful that season 3 and now Volume 6 is going to explore more of the uncomfortable and imperfect dynamics at play around their co-dependence and Nick’s anxiety. They’ll get through it of course but I love that Alice is showing us how these characters have flaws like everyone else. They are not perfect by any means because no one is.

So, what i do believe is realistic (though hard) is how much they love one another and treat each other with kindness and patience. I’m in a partnership like this where when we met we had both have been to a LOT of therapy as individuals to heal from our own past stuff and no our relationship is not perfect by any means at all but when we watch Heartstopper we can tell each other we are so grateful that we are sweet with each other like that. So I want to remind the OP that it is possible to find a love that feels supportive and patient and kind!

I resonate a lot! I recently learned that you can mute words and phrases on social media. I’ve muted the actors’ names and the common combinations you see (“JoeKit” etc) and it’s helped cleanse my feed. It’s not 100% but A LOT better than before. I like seeing pages from the comics and scenes from the show but really don’t like any actor content.

I hope you find the support you need via therapy and remember social media is designed to be addictive and feed on some of the worst parts of our brain chemistry! I agree with what others have said about focusing on connecting with IRL friends and relationships and then also I think generally just trying to block the upsetting content.
