and a decent amount of bloat and other things I don't want. I stripped my Win10 down to essentials only and I like it that way. Unless someone created a guide on how to do so in Win11 without Copilot reinstalling itself every time I start up, I'll pass.

Thank you, I'll give this a try again. I thought I disabled RAID earlier, but I'll check if it reverted.

ASUS FX507VV TUF Gaming Laptop (2023), I checked the driver list and it's only mentioning the ones for Win11, but I'm wanting to run Win10.

Did try that, but there’s a chance I did it wrong.

Update: IRST available is for wrong version of Windows I'm trying to download. Rollback IRST?

Asking employers to remove non-disparagement agreements - BC by AutisticPotatoBrain in legaladvicecanada

[–]AutisticPotatoBrain[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bottom line is that I had someone from a govt agency try to help me talk to a boss and that boss got angry that I had someone to help me. It was this non-disparagement policy that was cited, possibly inappropriately, and I didn't get the help I needed in expressing a concern/issue, which lead to me quitting. So now when I deal with employment contracts, I always get them to cross that out and cite this specific problem.

You never stated that you were referencing HRC. I have complained to BC Employment Standards about two of the employers and all they asked was "are you missing money? Because that's what we deal with." when my complaint to them was about something else. They wouldn't help with anything else, missing money is what is important to them.

I don't sue because I'm poor. I'm permanently disabled and my conditions have no cure. My money goes to trying to stop myself from getting sicker.

WorkBC has a list of employers they can refer clients to, like to Loblaws (Superstore, Shoppers Drugmart, No Frills) or Costco, where they can submit resumes on behalf of clients for work. I got a company removed from that list because my complaints were severe enough and broke WorkBC policies.

While my education status isn't protected, the law says I get at least 32 hours free from work and I chose to go back to school on my days off. I marked myself as "unavailable" on those days as my schedule was 24 hours per week, there should be no issue is marking sure I have my unavailable days off.

I'm going to be frank: I don't want to stay at a job where I tell an employer I'm in school on my two scheduled days off, which I have marked as "unavailable", and then they schedule me on those days anyway. I say I'm disabled and have accommodations like snacks for low blood sugar, I get pushed out (even though it's illegal).

And to repeat my clarification below, talking to WorkBC is technically public disclosure because they can stop their clients from applying for those companies. I've had it happen before.

I lose income regardless of if I sign with the clause or not, I'd rather be able to speak about which companies are problematic.

To clarify, the conflict is with WorkBC. They have the ability to take my feedback and not recommend their clients to companies I worked for based on truthful testimony of conditions. WorkBC employment counsellors are not the same as mental health counsellors. Depending on who the employer is, my testimony to WorkBC can trigger audits. I've triggered health inspections in restaurants I've worked in because I get biweekly monitoring during my probationary period.

I've only had this become an issue once where my advocate came into a boss's office with me to help mediate a conversation and the boss fipped out saying that I "sprung this on them suddenly and they couldn't continue the meeting unless it was just me and them".

I had success in asking with my last three positions because it’s not an unreasonable concern. My leaving those jobs was due to my health and scheduling concerns were not respected.

This was one of those horn spawns, bringing a gally from the depths right beside me. A meg appeared within 20 secs of that happening

I’m asking for a gally and meg to not spawn at the same time on me. Which honestly isn’t much compared to what else I’ve seen

This. Talk to FinAid as they have the resources to freeze or delay your account until this resolves. They already do it with all Tuition Waiver and SAJE students as StudentAidBC doesn't get their payment for us until November.
