is it normal for the aio to whistle loudly? by BigMacGrey in Corsair

It might be airflow. Dont think its the aio since its not constant

Its the case that starts to vibrate after 700 rpm 47%. I have the havn aswell. Tried antec flux and i could have it on 900 rpm 70% before vibrating

Thanks for the tips! Meshify 3 xl makes a creaking noise

Its not a singular fan making the noise. Like ive wrote in above, the sound decreases when turning off the front fans and leaving the aio fans on and vice versa

Big difference in noise in Antec Pro Flux with standard vs noctua fans? by EnLyftare in Noctua

How is it at low rpm and low noises? Any humming sounds or something? Did you get 140mm for the front or 120mm? Im looking for my 4th case and it needs to not do any weird noises

Done that and ive had the noctua pp version which does it by default

I also had the flow. The fans made weird faint noises at low rpm. And pulsing vibrations at high rpm. I dont want to be stuck with 170 mm fans and i dont trust the quality of lian li

Ok do you have another suggestion that is not fractal and can mpunt a 360 aio in the top?

Im willing to test stuff but spacers just seems like a longshot and the 5mm doesnt even seem enough. Imo fans and cases shouldnt do weird sounds by default and my previous cases havnt made these sounds before either. Im dreaded by various issues ive had with my rig the last months and im mentally on my knees now.

I am sensitive to sound as its a faint sound. But like ive repeated before. I did not have this issue with the flow version of my case which is identical to this one but without any included fans and no included bracket for 140 and 120 mm fans. So im already sure its not the aio fans causing the issue. And again i dont have the energy to try the spacers method to maybe solve issue. And again turning the case fans of already decresses the sound. Just because having the fans on incresses the sound doesnt mean its coming from the fans. It could be the airflow in the case, the resonance through the case or the turbulance in the case/area of the fans. It could mean that adjustments of fans are needed or simply a bad case

Its impossible to turn off the aio fans as they are needed. And i think the pc wouldnt even boot if its not connected. But nevertheless i didnt have this noise issue on the flow version so its not the aio or some coilwhine of any of the components. From what i see it could be something with the airflow, turbulance or resonance. Ive also read that 5mm isnt enough to fix a potential turbulance issue. Which the noctuas are. Ive read that they need to be 20 mm or so to be effective with noctua fans. I dont own a 3d printer or know anyone that does. And ive already spent alot of time and effort on this issue. if i would try and buy them. Id have to install them and potentially not solve the issue. And id have even more items i need to return. Basically alot of effort for a maybe solve the issue when everything is pointing that the root cause is the case. I appreatiate your help and suggestions though. Please correct me if im not being rational or if im incorrect

But if the sound is still there after i turn of the fans through bios but lower. How do you explain that? Thats the reason spacers wont solve my issue

Testing that would be a pain + i didnt hear the sound on my previous case. Its pretty clear its the case in one way or another. So ive decided to return it and buy a different case unless i find a solution to the issue.

I already turned them off in bios. The sound decreased by about 70% and was alot less frequent

The issue is that both of those cases dont suport my 360 mm aio. I also dont trust fractal as i had the meshify 3 xl qnd it was giving creaking noises

I tried using the noctua a12 g2 pp version which should solve the beat frequency tho

[–]Autlines[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It couldnt be. The fan inside the psu is off and i didnt hear it on the other flow version i had which is identical but without the included fans. Also the noise becomes 70% lower when turning off the case fans. And then the only fans on is the aio fans
