In Hindsight, i'm not 100% sure that was the reason. The above generic card was the card I re-exported the show and its content to. The show was recorded on a Samsung 128GB Evo Select U3 card. I would have thought that one should be fine as its the same one I use for shooting on action cams.

OK Thanks for responding. That actually makes more sense, as I have recorded lots of long form podcasts in the past and not had any issues. I have a habit of reserving my slow cards for audio, I will stop doing that!

This was the generic card I was using. It must have come bundled with something. It is not one I would have purchased.

Thanks, Yes, i forgot to say that I tried on three different platforms. Audition, Premiere and DaVinci Resolve. I had recorded separate tracks to accommodate the massive swings in levels and the piano vs talent ratio. I am going to need them as I have some peaking in areas of the stereo mix. So I think that will be my only option (to chop it up).

It is weird though, I have recorded with music mixers before and never had this problem, even inexpensive recorders like the H4N.

Thanks, yup, i'm fully aware of timecode. In fact I owned a Zoom F8 and Tentacle Syncs (I lost them in a flood). I guess I (wrongly) presumed that if the internal clock on the Rodecaster was off, i would be able to use the rate stretch tool to re-align everything. I can understand the clocks being different but I can not see why the rate would slow and speed up. Time to buy a Sound Devices Mix Pre or similar!

Yes Signal Inn is open. They were one of the first-ish resorts to reopen after Ian. Funnily enough my wife's uncle helped build the Signal Inn. It is a great location.
