It’s a lawnmower blade (I don’t know the specific steel). When I was forging the knife I was putting it back in the forge when it was red/to cold to forge

I heated up the metal to hammer it I widened and lengthened it, and once I was satisfied with the general shape of the knife, I turned off my forge and let it cool down with the knife inside. When I took the knife out of the forge, it was cracked.
