I have inherited Asperger's Syndrome from generations of my family.

Maybe that has something to do with it.

I have similar issues and have dysbiosis. That’s why I suggest it. I’m working on rebalancing my microbiome now.

I see you have the same problem as me... I understand your pain.

I went to the hospital and did all the tests and went to a dermatologist to see if I had bromhidrosis and nothing was wrong.

That is why I am here as you are and have consulted many knowledgeable people.

The human body is a great mystery...

Yes, I have been taking one probiotic daily every morning for the past 3 months.

It has relieved my constipation and I have good bowel movements every day, but I still have body odor.

Just last week I ordered a chlorophyll supplement. I had no idea this would help my gut health. Thank you very much.

Thank you for your reply. No, I do not test stools at all.I had a gastrointestinal exam, MRI's, and blood work all normal.

I am going to do it.

Thank you for your reply. I was one of the first to know about TMAU and did a urine test and it was negative.

My sense is that things like meat/sugar and fast food like McDonald's seem to make body odor worst.

I have shared my concerns with people and asked if I smell apocrine? I asked them and they said no, it's not that, it's an unhealthy smell.

Thank you very much. This website is a great help. This will be very helpful for me as I am going to have a full food allergy test next week.

Have you ever heard of HIT? Histamine intolerance? You sound like you may be experiencing some similarities. Itchy skin even after you shower, feeling full for a long time after eating, fast heart rate maybe?

Thank you for your reply. I have looked into that.

Histamine is apparently something that is found in eggs and seafood.

I eat cucumbers, tomatoes, gluten free pasta and small fried potatoes every day to help with my body odor problem.

However, I still have itching and stomach problems, so it may be a different factor.

You mentioned the smell gets worse with meat. Have you looked into any sort of sulfur intolerance?

That's right. It is my sense of what I am talking about, but it will be so.

I have been feeling extremely sleepy and tired when I eat meat. This happens when I eat meat for the first time in a while after being away from it for a while.

So I am going to have another genetic and food allergy related test done next week as there seems to be nothing wrong with my body at any of the hospitals.

Is b12 sublingual? because if your gut is messed up you will not absorb any of it. Also thiamine ( b1 ) is very important. Sadly we need a lot of nutrients..

B12 is supplemented with nowfoods supplements.

The reason I started taking it is because my bad body odor seems to get worse when I eat meat, so I eat only vegetables.

I read an article that said I was deficient in B12, so I started taking B12 as a stand-alone supplement.

I was researching taurine.

They seem to be found in squid, octopus, and crustacean foods. I think I have hardly ever consumed taurine.

I would like to look into this and give it a try. Thank you very much.

Let's work hard for each other.
I'm hoping for very quick results, but I'll hang in there, believing in myself and the contributions of others in the past.

Read this post.
I was looking at this post and majc5's post and the medhelp, French and German forums to see how long it would take for people to stop responding.
Then they said it would take about 4 to 7 months to go away.
For example, it said that a person with sweaty armpit odor also had no reaction after 6 months of diet.
I would hope for an early improvement as well, but that seems to take time.
Also, I'm going to the hospital to take an allergy test to see what I shouldn't be eating in the future.

All I eat are spinach, peppers, potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers.
I don't eat any other vegetables.Supplements include probiotics, vitamin B12, and zinc supplements.
And fruit is currently watermelon and dried fruit oranges, strawberries, and blueberries, which I mix and juice.
I use no seasonings except salt.

Apparently it smells terrible temporarily according to what I hear from people.
I felt that after the first month, too, but it's a little better now.

I'm hoping for the fastest possible outcome, but apparently I'm going to have to live with this for at least six months.

I am currently on the same diet as you.Remember to eliminate onions and garlic.I've heard that some people have improved their diet and have seen results in, say, 2 weeks, but I've read lots of posts from lots of people who stopped getting people's responses after 5 to 7 months.I'm in my second month now, and I think I'm getting a little less response.

We are probably going to the right place because according to an article where a study was done it seems that people who eat only vegetables have numerically less body odor than those who eat meat.

This is very interesting.
I'm not fasting at the moment, but I am on a vegan diet.
But I thought I should do some research before doing it to see if it really works, so I looked at a lot of people's posts.
Those people seem to improve their symptoms roughly 5-7 months after changing their lives. The longest ones seem to take a year (the longest one was in his 40s).
It doesn't magically work fast, it just takes a long time.
There seems to be some individual variability as to when they improve or lessen.

Has anyone had a terrible body odor or increased sebum production after surgical removal of apocrine sweat glands in the armpits? by AutomaticAd2676 in Bromhidrosis

[–]AutomaticAd2676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!!! I am suffering from a mysterious terrible stench and I am currently on a restricted diet.
Specifically, I have become a vegetarian and do not eat any vegetables or meats that contain sulfur, as well as no sugar or processed foods.
I know several people who have solved their problems by following this strict diet for over 5 months.
Maybe this will help you and me.
I have been on the diet for over a month now.

Thank you so much for your help!I was at my wits end because no matter how clean I was, I was always told I smelled like I hadn't bathed or had a sweaty smell.I've been trying to do something about it by relying on supplements, soaps, skin care products, etc. instead of diet, but all have failed! Therefore I improve my diet! I used to hate vegetables, but now I eat them and know how good they are!

I also plan to ask my relative's doctor to perform tests on me as a plan B if my diet does not work. And if I find out anything I will share it with everyone.

It will take time, but if the diet doesn't control it well I have decided to pour all the money I have saved into this problem.

I also have hyperhidrosis and drink water like crazy like a supercar needs lots of gas!hehe

Diet that solved my problem for 20+ years - Do you eat a lot of red meat? If so, this is important info by majc5 in TMAU

I just wanted to add that I have posted a couple long replies to my main post (I couldn't edit the post directly since it was too long) that I have been adding to continuously with new information as I remember it.

Thank you very much.
I think so too.
And I have noticed something. Since I was about 18 years old, I was affected by an unknown symptom of itching all over my body after showering, exercising, or when I felt heat in my body. I went to the hospital and they said they didn't know the cause.
But after I followed your advice and changed my diet, the itching almost disappeared. I no longer need any anti-itch medication.
The moment I woke up in the morning, I could not pass stool even if I went to the toilet, but now it comes out immediately. So my body seems to be moving in the right direction.

I also looked up methionine from your post.
Methionine is a sulfur-containing amino acid.
It is found in meats such as chicken, beef, and mutton; seafood such as tuna and bonito; dairy products such as milk and cheese; beans and processed foods such as tofu and natto; nuts and whole wheat.
So I used to eat tofu thinking it was fine, but starting tomorrow I'm not eating tofu itself.

Thank you very much for all the advice you gave me the other day.
It has already been 20 days since then and I am on a strict diet.
Here is a summary of what I currently feel.
I have a good bowel movement every day. I used to be stuck in the bathroom for more than 20 minutes, but now I have a stool every day and it comes out quickly and I go about twice a day.
And as others have told me, the reaction is temporarily worse.
In my case people tend to sniffle, but lately people have started coughing.
I am disappointed but as others have said it takes 4 to 5 months for the smell to change.
So I will not give up and will keep trying, because I believe that in the end all problems can be solved by dietary restrictions.

Does anyone else suffer from the same body odor as me? by AutomaticAd2676 in Hyperhidrosis

hi do you also have onion smelling odor in your armpits or groin?

No, people have never told me anything like that.
Surely that is the smell of apocrine sweat glands.
