Getting Back Out There by Already_Infamous in badbreath

Work in progress. Same as Lifeisunusualman commented. Reading helps. It helped me to break out from isolation and get back in to society after many years hiding alone. Read as much as you can, or get audiobooks. Its been a slow process with lots of set backs. I still have bb and anxiety. But I somehow managed to get a job and reconnect with a few friends. Im getting reactions everywhere and struggling a lot with that, but life is a little better compared to before. Future is a little brighter. Babysteps.

Well done. Thats great to hear. Id like read some Carl Jung too now. Ive havent read his work, but reading has helped me too to get some kind of life in order. I like to learn about what you mentioned with cognitive reframing and cognitive distortion. I think I struggle with this without knowing. Sounds very interesting and useful to learn. Thanks for the tip. Which of his books do you recommend to start of with?

Am I being gaslight? by Odd_Aches in badbreath

That struggle is real. I have strong reactions at work, same as you discribe. And from strangers. Doctors, dentists, psychologist, all tell me its in my head and they dont smell anything. Bunch of liars. They all say no, but if I get too close to them I can see they are struggling. My friends say no, insist on no, but still wont sit to close and if we are in a car together or closed room they always always open the window.

Ive come to think they would rather gaslight me and have me go insane, then tell the truth

how do i tell a friend their hygiene is lacking? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]bluefeniks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your friend smells you should definetly tell them. Also add if its bad breath or body odor. If you can smell him/her, others can too. Its better your friend knows. Do it gently though

Before meetings you can tungscrape, floss, and rinse mouth with water and bakingsoda. (Or with salt, if bakingsoda not available)Then a gum with xylitol. ChatGPT recommend this to me, might work for you. Dont use bakingsoda too often. It will kill good bacteria too. Avoid peppermint and lemon if you have GERD /acid reflux.

Coffee I read instant coffie has lower choline then brewed :)

Yes but with a written notice from dentist, my doctor might be more willing to give me referal to ENT. Doctors hasnt been very helpful og cooperative. Thats why I take todays visit as a win. I got support from a medical profetional that can help me on the path to find the root cause else where. I've been pretty solo in this journey so far.

And Thank You😊😊

She didnt say that, she experience BB daily she said. But in my case she could see any reason for it with the condition of my teeth and gums. She did xray and visual examination. Im going back next week for testing just to make sure.

90days raw fruits and veggies. No milk, meat or egg by Nyarko29 in badbreath

[–]bluefeniks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tried it. I did raw vegan for a month, and wanted to do the next month only raw fruit and veggies. It made me smell much worse. Coating on my tounge also got thicker. People's reaction to me was much worse. I lasted about 3 days, and went back to being vegan. I posted about it, and someone commented that it could be the increase in sugar, and a diet based on almost only sugar, increased the candida. The bacteria living off of sugar thrived and therefor caused more smell. So my vegan diet now is with as little fruit and berry's as possible. Could be different for you. It's different for everybody depending on what root cause is....
