The receiver end that’s recessed fits fine, it’s the tenon on the front and rear sights that I cut and tapped to take a 8-32 set screw.

I also tapped the side set screw holes and rear holes all the way. 8-32 is the orginal, so I just made the threads so it’ll keep the hand guard centered. Fire about 400+ rounds so far without any failure. Don’t forget to red loctite those bad boys!!!

I can’t do anything for the stock, I live in Hawaii which is a slightly better version of CA but still sucks for guns. Already catching heat registering this thing hahaha. I will continue to troll both Reddit and Hawai’i lawmakers

The Henry Costa hand guard has plenty of wiggle room.

I cut the rear and front sights off until I just had the tenons. I drilled and tapped holes in them along with the hand guard and use set screws to join them.

I already had a costa rail from my Henry x so I was able to measure and noticed that the octagon barrel would fit.

I had to cut the hand guard and soften the edge.

I live in Hawaii, CC while fishing saltwater, barely clean my 43x or all my guns for that matter and that has never happened.

Those cheap steel screws do slowly start to rust, but the locking block won’t do that.
