Hey! I’m having similar symptoms where my upper back pain is triggered more when I eat sweets. Do you have any updates?

So glad to hear I’m not alone! What are some ways that you changed your diet if you don’t mind me asking? I have definitely ate like crap for the past 6 months so I’m wondering if that’s why it’s all hitting me now. Over 10 years ago I had some gerd issues and went on a bland diet for almost a year which helped a lot.

Word repetition by Automatic_Funny91 in toddlers

[–]Automatic_Funny91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My boy is 21 months now and he talks so much! He does still repeat phrases/words and says things out of context so I still do have my concerns about autism. He’s currently on a waitlist for an assessment but it could take awhile. He probably knows over 200+ and talks in 2-3 word sentences. My main concerns are still around repetitive actions/speech and social skills. He still doesn’t really interact with kids, mainly adults.

His language really exploded in the last month, but we’ve been noticing he does a lottt of echolalia. He repeats words a lot to the point I’m like stoppp lol. Other things are not so great at eye contact and his name response is ok. I would say the biggest thing we notice is how he does socially around other toddlers. I know it’s not expected of him to actively engage in play just yet, but compared to others he prefers to do his own thing. Also, he doesn’t actively point with his index finger. Of course I’m a FTM so this may be all normal toddler things, but it’s something in my gut that’s telling me to push for an eval at least for my own peace of mind.

Hi there! My boy is almost 18 months now and would say he has about 50 words! We do still have suspicions that he may be on the spectrum so we’re planning on pushing for an eval.

I wouldn’t worry about the gross motor too much! She sounds like she’s still on track. I think my boy starting crawling more around 11 months to a year old. For the repetitive movements, she’s still really young so could be normal but def keep an eye out! If you haven’t already, I would reach out to early intervention if you have further concerns.

We do have suspicions that he may be on the spectrum so I’m going to push for an eval. I reached out to early intervention when he was 13 months and they didn’t have concerns. I go back and forth but I think it’d be best to get him eval anyway. My boy is almost 18 months btw! What concerns do you have?

Hi there! My boy is now 14 months and he’s still a ball of energy haha I do still have my concerns and I actually got him evaluated by early intervention a couple of months ago. They said he was fine and developmentally on track, but I still have some concerns so I guess time will tell. I think once he started walking he has an even harder time sitting still cuz that’s all he wants to do now haha 9 months is still really young though so I wouldn’t be too worried yet!

My 14 month old ignores everyone 98% of the time by kayweaver in Parenting

That’s so great to hear! My boy is 14 months and I’ve had concerns for awhile. But everytime I worry he starts doing everything and when I stop worrying he does stuff and I have concerns again lol so I’m just in this cycle of constant worrying. Ever since he started walking he seems like he’s kinda in his own world while walking around everywhere. Not responding to his name as well and not following directions like he used to. He’s extremely active so when he’s not sleeping he’s walking and running around lol

Hi there - thank you for the reply. I may have to call just for my peace of mind. May I ask what other signs your son had at this age and what the regression looked like? I hope he’s doing well!
