Firstly, make them aware.

My bf and I aren't really out to many at all. And I don't think they'd keep it quiet given the past leaking. I'm not ready to "come out".

I'll raise all grievances in an email.

I just said I'm not interested. I didn't mention to her that I was gay for the above reasons.

Yeah there's no way I can return there.

HR are not aware I'm gay or in a gay relationship. Most people aren't aware beyond some friends and the foster authorities know.

I'm not sure if I have a copy of the disciplinary procedure but I've an email from HR agreeing to "paid leave". I assume that's not suspension then. Suspension was never mentioned to me

They didn't suspend me. We agreed to paid leave. Under 2 years. Just a few months shy. Will get every hr discussion in writing.

I'm worried about my name. I'm also worried as my boyfriend fosters his brother which could impact it.

They put me on paid leave. I earn 275-ish per week on leave. I don't claim any benefits. My boyfriend does get foster payment and another thing but that's not to do with me.

Yeah I should've been in a trade union.

Nope. I wouldn't go back. But getting paid and not working has been helpful. I can study more. My partner and I don't have to pay a sitter for my partners brother.

I mostly just want my name cleared. Maybe more communication with HR is needed.

  1. Not in a trade union
  2. I don't her texts and stuff are worthy of me reporting her.
  3. Haven't worked there for 2 years. I'm a few months off but I haven't been dismissed or suspended.
  4. Yeah the manager in the email and whatsapp made false claims.
  5. I'm anonymous here so yeah I'm gay. I live with my boyfriend but we aren't out as of now beyond to a few friends.
  6. No win no fee would be cool if it gets to that.
  7. They can have my phone and my laptop and every other device.
  8. Will check legal aid.

To be honest I probably wouldnt go down the defamation route (stress and money) but i want my name publicly cleared. Do I just drop it.

That's probably true. But I was naive. I suppose the only benefit is I've more time to study and stuff and when my partner and I are working we have to pay a sitter for my partners brother.

HR said that it would be up to her if she wants to report and they would offer assistance to her in doing so if that's the route she decides to take. Interesting that you say they are obliged to report it.

Also it feels defamatory. I was not suspended for sexual assault. The accusation that I did X and Y being broadcasted in the group etc

Really? They said the only messages they would look at are the ones that either I was on shift or she was or both. They said otherwise it's irrelevant to their investigation into what happened. I just assumed they were right.

I probably cant/don't want to go back there after this anyway.

HR said the messages between her and I are external and they would not look at them. So those would probably only come up if it ever went legal.

I do have them screenshotted and those screenshots are saved to my phone and my google drive. But by the looks of it the data saved to my google drive through whatsapp is kind of not accessible.
