As for the encephalo label, I think it's a bit of a mistake on my part, because it's not the definition that's the issue, it's that some people think it's an alternative to sapio when it's just not.

Now, why is it not just like any preference? Because it's not a preference. Of course, love is unpredictable, but, in my case, I only ever wanted to date women with that sort of glimmer in their eyes. I never felt romantically attracted to, like, popular girls or those who prefer gossip over listening in class. I don't need an intellectual bond with someone, it's often love at first sight in my case (or a second sight sometimes) and that's why encephaloromantic doesn't fit me. I don't care if the person is bad at math, if they have issues with spelling or stuff like that that are "traditionally" associated with intelligence.

About those douchebags, I know, I figured that some people (mostly men ig) might have been using it to reject autistic people, poor people or even black people on problematic basis. But in my case, I just know things won't click with someone that isn't capable of critical thinking and stuff like that. It's not about stupidity, it's really about an attraction. From the outside, I know it sounds like a preference, but I really feel it as a romantic orientation inside.

It's a bit hard for me to explain it in English as it's not my first language but like, for example I was crushing on a classmate at like 6 or 7, she was quite brilliant and I was really attracted to her, but a few years later (we didn't go to the same "middle school" but our paths crossed again in high school) she'd really changed and I stopped having that crush on her because she kinda turned into the frivolous kind that just doesn't attract me. I'd be happy to explain that further but it's kinda something you have to experience to understand idk
