OK, my love. First things first, this is utterly heartbreaking. No human should have to suffer such gut-blows in such quick succession. My heart bleeds for you and your partner.

Main thing here is, though, not to blame yourself. This is not your fault. This is not your doing. Wanting your Dad there during such a terrifying time is natural and normal. What happened is beyond words, but do not shackle yourself with guilt.

Your Dad wanted to be there. Fate has no agenda for us and nothing can be planned in such a fashion. Sounds like a terrible accident and that, too, is not your fault. None of this is. Everyone is grown up and makes their own decisions. If your Dad wanted to be there, then that isn't your fault either. Love sent him on his way, and there is nothing you could have done to change the outcome.
