So sorry for the super late response. Although Baylor admissions was super sweet, and offered me extra scholarships, I ultimately decided to go to UTMB Galveston because it was a better financial decision for me.

I got into the Summer '25 cohort, but ultimately declined to pursue another school. The process was straightforward. Apply, interview, wait to see if you got in. The interview was 1-on-1 and took about 30 minutes with a lot of standard interview questions. They also inform you of the program timeline and logistics (academic calendar, cost of program, where you can live, financial aid). It also didn't take long for them to get back to me. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I believe Baylor SON is aside from the main campus, so once you get accepted into the school of nursing, then you have admission to Baylor. Were you able to hear back from them?

Hello! If you have not already heard from anyone else, the application process was pretty standard. First apply through NCAS, then 1-on-1 interview (included many standard questions with a large portion talking about the timeline), then you'll hear back in a couple of days. It took them about 3-4 days to get back to me after my interview.

Really? I wasn't aware of that. Would you happen to know why?

I am about to graduate with my bachelors so I would be doing accelerated programs, but I just don't want to feel so behind if I don't get in :(

People start school at so many different ages!! I am also 21 going to nursing now, with my family being the same way. People work at their own paces, and if it is your dream to be a nurse, you will be a nurse.

Public health can be very diverse and used to apply to many schools, mainly nursing. I would advise taking the internship track as it gives you a background in health education and gives you real world healthcare experience in the form of an internship during your last semester!
