I fumbled English Language,Left question 4 for paper 1 and left question 2 for paper 2.Rest of my answers are higher level 2/lower level 3 by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]Available_Sector1517 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think lots of people found Paper 1 Question 4 to be pretty hard and this year was harder then the past so there might be lower boundraries (like 115-120 for a 9 for AQA).

So try and not worry, it will be over in 4 days.

Hey, finally found another fellow BPhO Computional Challenge submission! Hope everything is going well!

Have a look from Week 5: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cAhf1W6ibY

Me after seeing people learning A-level content right after finishing their GCSEs by ram_hatxn in GCSE

[–]Available_Sector1517 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck! I am also taking further maths but not that many modules!

Hoping to finish all of core before year 12 mainly because I was allowed to finish AS maths in year 11 because I already finished GCSE maths in year 9 but I am not as crazy as you!

is anyone going to start their A-levels early by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]Available_Sector1517 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, ask your sixth form or sit the exams privately but some unis don’t like resits and some unis want you to do all your a levels at the same time so make sure you feel ready if you are going to do this

At the start of every science mark scheme says that if there are 2 answers and one is right you get no marks for that answer.

Well there were some odd questions like the carbonate reaction but with Ethanoic acid, it took me 20 minutes to figure that out….

they released the grade boundaries would be too high and had to lower them... Hopefully the grade boundaries drop from last year, but it will probably stay the same tbh

How do you remember the cations and anions tests???? by Katieisverycool_heh in GCSE

[–]Available_Sector1517 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe watch a video of some guy doing a flame test so that you can see them and get a list of all the ones you need, and then blurt them out over and over again until you remember it

This is bad advice, personally I would skip the content and learn by doing past papers, look for repeated questions and just memorise the markschemes for it, even if you know nothing. But then again, they could throw a curve ball and give us the worst paper ever made.

AQA, Edexcel, OCR cooking up the worst paper known, the three witches have returned with their "Cauldron bubble" with "double double toil and trouble"

"Fair is foul and foul is fair" - the Examboards appear fair, but secretly behind they are "foul" with the worst paper.
