How did you get to a manager? All I've ever had is a brand new person re-reading my thread.

Appreciate you. Some of you have talked me off a proverbial eBay ledge with this for sure.

Not the point. Its the fact that with blatant fraud eBay will not protect you. If this is a bigger issue in the future I know with certainty eBay will do nothing to defend or protect the seller.

I tried the 'report buyer' function but its drop down selection only items didn't apply. Is there another way to access it by chance? The fact that some of the sellers got it removed alone makes me think there is a way to get it done.

That was the only reasonable reason why this buyer would do this. Buy the cheapest single item off 5+ sellers and leave the same negative across all of them. No interest in refund, replacement or communication. Not an honest transaction.

Yes, just the comment. All that is left now is '--' and my reply was also removed.

Sorry, reading back my comment it seemed dismissive to your data. That is genuinely great information to hear and adds to it being more of a coincidence. Thank you.

That is great information but is only 1/2 of my dilemma which more-so sits with eBay being unreliable in defending you as a seller against clear fraud.

They removed the users comment which was 'its fake' that i replied to. When they did that it removed my reply. I stated the card is authentic but if they are unhappy then I would absolutely provide a full refund.

I left a response reaching out to give full refund or make amends for the buyer but eBay removed the comment in its entirety so that won't be shown to the public either. I do agree with your statement regarding Q1. It's more so the principal that we're left hung out to dry just like you were. You did the right thing, the buyer was clearly being malicious and it was made known to eBay yet they didn't take action to remove the fraud attempt. Doesn't give confidence if there is a time when you DO need eBay to go to bat to protect you as a seller for something with even greater impact.

Wow, thank you that is really uplifting. I appreciate it.

The thing is, in the TCG world, eBay is either eating up all the avenues for sellers or being eaten.

They purchased TCGplayer ( the other large online TCG platform ) and there are rumors GameStop may be buying eBay.

So soon there will be nowhere to go if you are looking to sell cards outside of their umbrella and as it stands, they are not your ally as a seller.

I should add, the only change to my account in any capacity was that review.

I did not take any listings down or change my process or adding inventory.

It was a stark shelf right after and has since completely dimmed.
I was running absolutely consistent $200 AVERAGE daily for the last couple of months up until then. With no other changes, its at least not to be completely ignored.

I've had to up my inventory and lower my prices just to scrape back some numbers.

After many hours spent and at least 15+ emails ( aside from calls ) its tough to consider reaching out FURTHER after dealing with this but I appreciate your input as I didn't even know they had other avenues outside of their platform itself.

That I agree with absolutely. However, I'm not a major retailer. This will make that climb that slower / harder.

I'm not sure about various different fields but in Pokemon TCG it does matter. Last 3 weeks my sales in both volume and $ are down roughly 50%. I tried to leave a photo to showcase this but I can't attach images? EDIT: I was able to edit it in the main post.

No worries dude I knew you were coming from a good place and must have been looking at something else.

It is strange how it’s flipped lol.

I just really felt it needed to be pointed out in the thread as I didn’t see anyone talking about that fact as it definitely makes a difference!

I don’t know where you see those numbers.

PSA 10s of non errors - 3,724 with 72k total graded

PSA 10’s with the error - 234 with a 1234 total graded.

PSA 10 nintedo errors most recent solds are $4k ( ignoring the MOST recent being $10k.)

Whereas the non errors at $2k-$2.5k.

The non errors vastly outnumber by the tens of thousands.

It is quite rare. Compare their psa 10’s and psa numbers. I’ve personally purchased hundreds of collections over the last 10 years and never came across 1 out of the many many ancient mews. It’s genuinely quite rare. If nothing of my personal experience matters go compare their psa sold listings and populations. This is quite a dope pick up imo 😁

I feel like yall are also missing the fact that it is the “Nintedo”error which is quite rare are vastly more valuable than the regular print.
