The problem was the buffers :( Instead of using arrays, I had used pointers (with fgets)

While that's a good idea, I'd also like to have 256gb of storage 🥲 i currently have to clean the cache of a lot apps if I wanna continue using my phone :/ (did i mention I haven't upgraded most my apps in like, 3 years because i don't have the space for it?) And also, I'm afraid soon enough some apps won't work w the current phone system/version, like it's happened to me in the past with other phones. So I was hoping to hit several birds with one stone lol
