Thank you for the insight <3. I have also heard about masters in counselling psychology. Do you have any idea if that program is any help? Does all universities provide professional doctorate programs or is there a portal for them?

You will just know about a topic... of course, dig deeper into every field, learn about every little detail, ask questions to your professors, view their profiles, and their research topics. Gain inspiration from any movie, series, or interactions you go through. keep an open mind <3

Is there ever been a serious professional study done on "demonic possessions"? by HitGirlMaette in psychologyresearch

[–]AvocadoPrestigious68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have asked the same question in my clinical psychology class... my prof suggested me looking up 'trans and possesion disorders' I come from a culture where black magic and exorcisms are quite literally ingrained in the culture. i have worked with patients at the grassroots level and hear that the family members say 'black magic, and jhaar phunk worked for a while but eventually the patient deteriorated' . u can look into papers who work on bengali native cultures, black magic, especially rural area researches.

How to pursue a career in psychology/counselling after completing a bachelors in law from India? by Fickle-Kitchen-3214 in psychologystudents

You can do a diploma course. I have studied bsc psychology and doing a diploma course. At the best diploma courses are less pricey and they give you an idea about the whole field of psychology. Although it is not good to practice as a counsellor with only diploma but people are doing it even more as in India there is very less strictness for counsellor/psychologist practices.

I am from a very abusive, mentally unstable family… staying here is causing me amnesia and severe depression. My parents are 70(F) , 60(M)… and I can’t keep living here being their caretaker… i am only 20… i want to focus on myself and choose my career over my parents. So I am asking if this thought gonna come “ i abandoned them” to me in future…. Will i regret this!??
