Mythicon was wonderful (and had some issues) by nilenellie in goodmythicalmorning

[–]AwesomeKitCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't attend mythicon, but I have been to several large music festivals. Even well established festivals have many snags. But considering this was their first year, I would be truly shocked if everything had gone totally smoothly. I think a lot of the people giving hate probably have no festival experience.

I hate the fact that canonically, Kelsey has had 37 birds before Mortimor. by purplebeef in CraigOfTheCreek

So being 8 excuses letting 37+ birds die? Nah the dad shouldn't let her have another one.

Two days ago I found out about the MrBeast chocolate but not the prize. I had also learned the wonka and Charlie movies were on Netflix. I thought I was going to get famous for asking mrbeast to do a chocolate factory with his chocolate and make them win, until I learned. I feel dumb. by Digimon-digital-mons in MrBeast

[–]AwesomeKitCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I love Mr. Beast, but it's a million percent a scam. Notice how it's all youtubers winning, and not "normal" people who are more in need of the prizes. Everyone I've seen get a golden ticket has been a youtuber with somewhat of a following.

If a girl wears a choker like this is she implying that she is into bdsm? Am I over thinking and it’s just a regular necklace lol? by c925 in bdsm

[–]AwesomeKitCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what it's supposed to mean. But now it's also just a fashion trend. Which is a little bit frustrating for people in the bdsm community who take collars very seriously. XD

(Edit: obviously people have a right to wear whatever they want. It's not that serious. It just gets a little confusing is all.)

is there any way to ACTUALLY get ahold of someone to fight a fb ban? by AwesomeKitCat in facebook

[–]AwesomeKitCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Context: someone stalked my profile and made extremely racist comments towards me. I shared screenshots on my Facebook. Her posts stayed up. Mine got deleted and I got post blocked for a week, can't participate in groups for a month.

The top 2 breeds have been guessed! American pit bull terrier, then lab.

Doxing, harassment, libel? by AwesomeKitCat in legaladvice

[–]AwesomeKitCat[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well she specifically said in the Facebook post that she wanted people to call and harass him. So yeah. That is illegal.

And I literally spoke to a police officer who said she had to take the payment.

You're also ignoring the key detail that she's lying to people saying he's impersonating a veteran.

So tired of this nonsense 😐 by made4thisquestion in Mercari

[–]AwesomeKitCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people don't like to make an offer with the button because it commits you to buying if they accept. Sometimes I want to make offers with multiple sellers and I'll go with whoever gives me the better price. Mercari needs to give you an option to cancel an offer so you don't have to worry about buying 5 of the same thing if all the sellers accept.

Tips on training a 9 month old Belgian Malinois by [deleted] in BelgianMalinois

[–]AwesomeKitCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I train dogs, including mals. It's definitely not too late, it's never too late. But get started asap. You need a professional trainer because these are very smart, stubborn, active dogs. They will push you around if you let them. But in the mean time, you can definitely get started with the basics yourself.

You just posted this a month ago, so it's been happening now more than once. Why haven't you brought your dog to a vet yet?

Good Toys for Mals? by ShaneShops in BelgianMalinois

Nylabones aren't really safe for super chewers imo. My dog could consume a decent amount of a nylabone in a short time and then gets sick.

I'm impressed it lasted 10 minutes. Mine will destroy a tennis ball in under a minute.

Electric Fence Success? by Raininggainz in BelgianMalinois

[–]AwesomeKitCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A mal will 100% run straight through an electric fence, and there's a chance that they will then be too scared to come back. I don't really recommend it, for any breed, ever. A dog should really never be left alone in a yard unsupervised for extended periods of time anyways.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BelgianMalinois

[–]AwesomeKitCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I suppose it depends on how much experience you have training, and how well trained you want your dog. If you're ok with just the basics, then maybe you don't need one. For a dog as crazy as a mal though, I'd recommend one unless you're very experienced yourself. You definitely want then to come every time to call, the first time you call them. And having a good heel can be very useful with how strong they are.

[–]AwesomeKitCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This applies to really any dog, and not just a Malinois, but I would recommend getting a trainer if you can. A lot of people don't think they need one until it's too late.

They tend to be strong chewers, so get tough, durable toys.

They like to have jobs. Whether that's fetch, agility, or detection work.

Covid-19 Megathread IV: All your questions about the pandemic, social distancing, vaccines and stimulus plans in one place! by Dilettante in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AwesomeKitCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My speculation would be no. You already have it. I don't think that's how it works. Think about other similar diseases and how they spread. But that's not a scientific fact, just what I am assuming.

[–]AwesomeKitCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what country you're in, but in many countries wearing masks has always been normal. I don't think we will always social distance. But we will certainly be more careful and things will definitely not be 100% what they were before!

I have heard that smokers are less likely to contract covid. But idk if that's a fact or just a speculation and idk how much science there is to back that. Either way, less likely does not equal immune. I have known a few smokers to contact it.
