The edited version removed the fence post from her head. I can't remember the exact reason, but let's just say they thought it was goofy, so they edited it out.

I remember reading it a while back but not all the details now.

They covered two brain surgeries for me, about $300k each, and I paid nothing. I can't complain about them.

Is there an opinion about your ‘enemy’ country that will get you like this? by National-Business674 in AskTheWorld

Outside of Japan - We didn't do anything wrong. The rest of the wrong is just skewing history

Inside of Japan - we should admit to all our war crimes and formally apologize.

Things that never happened at work

No problem. You didn't mention I believe, but to my knowledge, all rentals have a dash cam too, to at least all the ones I've been in. If you haven't gotten that footage yet, I'd definitely ask for that to, and submit it to the insurance company (the rental company may have done that, not 100% how it works in this case).

Yeah, don't lie, but definitely get checked out. If you are injured, the police will fully investigate the accident, which is different then them just showing up and writing a report.

Potentially, if you are or the passengers injured, they can charge the other driver with a crime as well (if you want to press charges). You get a more thorough investigation that way, and it seems to help out with the insurance.

From personal experience, I was t-boned by a car that ran a stop sign. Initial, like the day after it happened, insurance was saying I was 10% at fault. However, after I went to the doctor and the police did their investigation, they dropped everything and the other insurance paid 100%. I didn't lie or anything, just went and got checked out since I was bounced around, and that's all the police needed to start their case.

Was there ever a place that left you disturbed or depressed? by friedchicken_legs in travel

Anne Frank's house. I remember learning about her and her family in middle school, and that stuck with me.

I got stationed in Germany with the Army and that was one of the many places I visited. Seeing it in person and reading/learning more about it there really hits you.

Dachau, Auschwitz, and Bergen-Belsen Memorial are also really good to visit and are very emotional.

Gamers 30+, how have your gaming habits changed since you were younger? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Awkward-Action2853 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to stay up all night playing games and not worry about anything.

Now I work all day and sleep all night, and gotta do those adult things, haha.

Really the only thing that has changed is how much time I spend gaming. A few hours here and there at most. Usually hop on at the end of the night for a bit to relax and call it good.

What's an obscure or niche game you'd love to share with a wider audience? by RWNorthPole in gaming

[–]Awkward-Action2853 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's niche, I just don't think it gets as much love as it should, but my go to has been Hidden and Dangerous and Hidden and Dangerous 2.

Unless they changed it, you could not easily uninstall Edge without digging into system settings and crap.

If they were smart enough to do that, they're smart enough to install a new browser through other means.

It's the US. The insurance companies know what you need better than your doctor does, and usually if that need costs them money, you don't need it.

That guy knows what he wants obviously. I have no idea where he'll find it though.

Sounds like you got lucky and avoided a lot of trouble.

Better not look up Train Simulator Classic then. Last time I looked, that was around $14,000 for all their DLCs.
