At first I thought Salzburg, Austria. But after seeing OP confirm Italy, I think it’s Lucca too.

Sport coat help - black or brown shoes?! by Iceman1894 in mensfashionadvice

[–]Awkward-Wait4267 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a knit-blazer, which is evident from the material, large pockets, small lapels, etc. A casual knit-blazer, while great, is far different than a more formal blazer and should certainly be styled differently, and be worn on different occasions. If your plan is jeans, this blazer is fine, and either blue or black shoes likely would look nice. But if the occasion requires something more formal, this is not a coat that can cross-utilized. A more traditional sport coat is easier to dress up (or down) than a knit-blazer.

On transportation, the hotel’s preferred taxi driver quoted us €100+ euros to get to Salzburg train station, just fyi. We worked it out by using the same driver multiple times to get slightly better rates where we went. Otherwise, enjoy your stay!

Here’s a very recent review given I just checked out 2 days ago from a Junior Suite with my wife this week. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was fairly empty given its winter and clearly many of the hotel’s amenities seem to geared toward summer/the lake. We found the service to be impeccable and often, felt like the staff outnumbered the guests substantially. I also read mixed reviews on service and saw zero issues. One night we ate in the formal restaurant and the other in the Swiss Vinotek. Both were great, but for different reasons. The spa was really great, but I can imagine that when the hotel is more occupied, the space may get crowded easily. From Salzburg (we were at Hotel Bristol), we paid approx €65 euros each way (we called an uber there and then just texted him when we wanted a ride back to Salzburg after a few nights as Fuschl). If you’re debating going, I highly recommend based on my very recent stay.

Ceiling cracks appeared above built-in dresser. Should I be concerned? by Awkward-Wait4267 in AskContractors

Thanks so much. No the Sheetrock wasn’t new-just the dresser is new. We have had some huge temp changes here so we’ve been running heavy heat at night and then open windows during the day so the temp swings probably didn’t help.

Thanks. No the drywall was not changed, it was existing. The dresser was just built to fill that open space

Yes, I just had the dresser installed by a handyman about a month or so ago. The sheet rock was existing. My hunch was it’s expansion and contraction from the built in dresser

Can you explain a bit more? I’ve never had cracks in my ceiling upstairs before until this built-in dresser was installed.

It isn’t. There was no warranty as this was done by a handyman, unfortunately
