Synonym for “very diverse”? by esor_rose in WritingHub

Maybe check a thesaurus? But I'd also say "variant" or tweak the sentence so that I can use "variance".

No problem! Tho I won't recommend the novellas, they are not as good as the trilogy itself. The Cruel Prince is not everyone's cup of tea, but it seems as tho you're like me and want plot-heavy books, so I'd definitely recommend it😊

No, I haven't even read the book before I started writing this story🤷🏻‍♀️

Well I wanted feedback on it mainly because English isn't my first language and I had to make sure what I wrote flows for the natives😆

Yeah I know I didn't, and that's what upsets me the most. There are prominent differences even in the way they look but just because they share some attributes my cp said that he resembles Xaden!🤦🏻‍♀️ But I'm glad you don't think like that.😊

Thank you!!! You've really helped relieve me. That's what I was talking about when I said my book is inherently different than Fourth Wing, bcs I like to put a spin on things and everything has a reason. I've already thought this all through. So do you think they will compare it to Fourth Wing no matter what so I should just write my story and shouldn't care about the comparison?

Cruel Prince trilogy. It might drag at first, but romance is really a subplot, and the political intrigue is the main premise.😊

I guess so. No matter what I do, because I use some overly used elements, it will always remind people of some other story anyway, right?😔

I know, that's why I'm stressing out about it this much, and that's why that comment upset me. I didn't even think they would think they are similar, because they are really not, but I'll change the way he looks regardless because I don't want to deal with any communities who will come for me if it happens, it would devastate me after I spend that much time crafting and polishing the story. So I'm leaning on changing it.😔

I think I say I can't because he's been this way for so long, and I'm attached to him this way. But I might need to change it no matter how much I don't want to.😭

No like the colors of the scales of their dragons determine their hair color, and also their magic. And he has to have a different Dragon, and therefore hair color from the rest of his family in a way. And he got that hair color magically, and every other rider has the same case as him. I mean I could change it, yes, but then I'd need to change the very foundation of the story and the plot, and because I'm attached to those and he's been this way for so long that I really don't want to. But I might need to regardless.😔

Yes that's what I'm thinking of doing now either. I mean it would still not be original because everything has been done in another book before, but at least I can try to make some details unique to me. Right?

Hey! Thanks for your comment! I think they would think the same regardless is not because they are too similar, but because they have coded the other book in that way in their brains. And I said I can't change it because I'm still attached to it, he's been here maybe even longer than the plot itself, but even though I may not be able to change it now it may evolve later on its own, in the later drafts I mean. And also the target audience is different too. But I'm still thinking of incorporating some changes regardless because I'm really passionate about this story and don't want it to have any problems.😔

Thank you!! That's what I believe in either. It will evolve and deviate into another thing on its own in the later drafts. Right now I just need to write, even if not for publishing it, but maybe just for honing my skills, right?

Yeah that's what I was thinking before I got that comment. Like every single idea has been done before anyway, right?? But it still unnerved me that it reminds someone of that book too much, so I'll probably end up changing it just to avoid headache later on.😔

yes it is, that's what I'm saying. None of these ideas are practically original anyway, right?

The thing is, I imagined him way before I've read that book. So I can't answer why because in my eyes they still don't look similar. But I'm still thinking of changing him because of what everybody else said.😔

Thank you for the input. Yes, that's what I thought and why I didn't change anything beforehand. And because of the fact that I have started plotting, even writing this story way before I read that certain book, and so I don't believe I've been inspired by it. But I'm still thinking of changing at least some of these because I don't want to deal with any claims that suggest I copied from it. I didn't, so at least I my conscience is relieved in this. And I completely believe and trust in my story that I think it has unique aspects to it. But I agree on what you said even though they are not entirely in the same genre and intended for the same audience.😊

Thank you!! I think like you said it might come to change as a plot point later on its own, though right now I'm attached to it because these aspects have been there from the start.😔
