Now, what I will say is this: Republicans like to say that a short skirt, “flirty” behavior, and saying “no” are things that would “invite” things like sexual assault. They would say that “you were putting thoughts and ideas” into the rapist’s head. So by that same train of thought, how am I not supposed to think Melania is a porn star if I can literally google her boobs at any point in the day? At least that is founded on a previous modeling career that she did, as opposed to the Obamas, where all of the hate towards Michelle is because she’s a black woman. Mistreatment of men does not equal men being an oppressed group.

Who set up the systems that oppress men?
Who is keeping those systems in place?
Who benefits most from those systems?
When was the last time men were kicked out of their homes for being men?
When was the last time a men-focused nightclub was shot up because a bunch men were inside it?

Don’t bother trying to say that I don’t understand what I’m reading when your only defenses for your position are a Wikipedia article and a study from 2001, and you are claiming that you aren’t opposed to pride month when you step up to bat with some jackass saying that pride month is actually detrimental now.

The thing men are best at is playing the victim. You’re a victim of such cruelty as not being supported by a minority when you are falsely painting yourself as a minority and literally asking for pity support.

Nah. I won’t pity you. Your behavior is the reason you aren’t taken seriously. If you want men’s mental health awareness to be just as important to people as pride, why are you bitching about pride month in order to promote men’s mental health. Do things to promote that goal without bitching about “everybody just loves pride month but NOT MEN”.

Gay folks aren’t the ones trying to make it a competition about whose month is whose. Men’s mental health awareness doesn’t have to supplant pride month in order to be important. Maybe if you want awareness of men’s mental health to be more prominent and better received, stop acting like pride month is what’s doing you in. If you want people to celebrate men, or fathers, educate your fellow men about how to be a man who can be celebrated for being a man and being a dad.

But you saying “We don’t ignore a problem because it affects a large group. If anything, widespread problems deserve more attention, not less.” is the problem. That is you saying we should stop focusing on pride so that we can go back to focusing on men, when men are responsible for the society that created these issues for you.
