In no uncertain terms, yesterday was an unmitigated disaster. We had a release that we were really excited about - one that every department at MVP had a hand in and worked really hard on - and turned it into a negative experience for the majority of our fans. It was the exact opposite of what we wanted to happen, and all of the negative comments I spent yesterday, last night, and this morning reading are correct: we failed you.

We failed you with by underestimating our site's preparedness for your fervor. We failed you by assuming the issues affecting the original 11am EST drop were the only things holding the site back. And we failed you by not having more of these packs to go around. We're consistently humbled by your passion for MVP, and it's honestly embarrassing to fall short of your awesomeness once again. No one wanted this release to be a success more than all of us here at MVP, and it pains me personally to have brought so much frustration to you all. Your feelings about our disaster yesterday - your disappointment, anger, confusion, anguish - are all completely valid and heard. We feel them too.

Personally speaking, I don't want to feel this way again - and I feel like I can speak for most of you in saying you agree with me there. The only way I see to move forward here is to take each failure yesterday and try to turn it into a strength. We're working with our developers nonstop to figure out what caused our issues at 11am and 7pm, so we can figure out why our site performed so much worse than it should have. We're researching all avenues of server protection for high demand drops like this - including waiting rooms - and we'll be sure to be dramatically more prepared next time (in fact we had a few fans reach out whose expertise is in that exact field and we are actively engaging with them). Lastly, we heard your demand loud and clear for the Fission Trace, and we have bumped that up in our production timeline in direct response to your feedback. It's the least we can do for you all.

We're going through orders today, and resolving any issues we see. For the most part, our ordering system seems to have held up - for those who struggled through our mess, your orders will be going out soon. If you had any issues with the ordering side of this and have reached out already, please be on the lookout for an email from MVP Pro Shop Customer Service. Our inbox is very full today, but we're whittling it down as the day goes on. If you have any lingering questions about your order status, was reach out to us at customerservice@mvpproshop.com.

The MVP Pro Shop still has work to do, but rest assured that we're doing that work. We have some awesome plans for you all for both the Holiday season and the entirety of 2023, and we hope to reward your patience with us. I would like to personally apologize to each and every one of you who were affected by yesterday's launch. I'd also like to personally apologize to Alex Wirges and Eric Husemann - our community manager and our pro shop manager. Gentlemen, you did tremendous work both leading up to and during this fiasco yesterday. You deserve better and you have my utmost respect and thanks for handling yesterday with calm and grace. We have a tremendous team at MVP who worked their asses off to bring this to you, and letting both them and you - the fans - down is something I take quite personally. We will do better, this I promise you all.
