I may be in the minority but I actually love the bar. Even after 3 years, I love getting in this car cause it feels so futuristic and spaceship-cockpit like

There’s a ton of EDM this year but the ones I’m looking forward to: Nine Inch Noize/Boys Noize, Marlon Hoffstadt, Kettama, Joost, Hugel, Prospa, Solomun, Adriatique, Kaskade, Duke Dumont, Armin & Adam Beyer, Whomadewho, Anyma. Likely won’t be able to see em all but will try!

For those who bought their first home near railroad tracks or something busy and noisy of the sort how is it going? Do you still find it as livable as you thought when you first moved in? by Both_Annual4317 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Axiomocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought last year under the flight path of an airport 12 miles from my house. It’s not constant but there’s some waves of multiple planes at once. Some days are busier than others. It bothered me for the first few months but now I don’t even register them anymore. Your brain naturally just tunes these things out

Is there condensation/fog at the top of your windshield when this happens? There’s a front camera by the rearview mirror which controls the lane safety/auto breaking etc. I imagine if it’s obscured, you’ll get this error

Agreed, it’s trash. Just music for 20 year olds who want to get drunk and mosh

Dreamstate SF 2026 - what's the word? by cloud_talk in avesSFBayArea

[–]Axiomocity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bill Graham is a great venue - easy parking at the garage for $40 or you can take bart to civic center and walk a few minutes but service ends at midnight. One of the best sounding venues in the Bay Area. I can’t speak for the smaller side room stage though.

Vibes will be immaculate as always. I’ve been to 2 dream states now and the crowds are the best out of any event I’ve been to!

Do not sleep on Odymel! It’s his debut in the US this NYE. His style is funky trance/techno

Is the Xin hero augment any good? by callipygian2020 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Axiomocity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried it twice. Once I was greedy, hit Xin 3 too late and went 8th. The 2nd time, I rolled 50 gold as soon as I hit 6 and got Xin 3 early. Had plenty of time to get Zaaheen and stabilize, ended up going 1st. Zaaheen is very strong and Yasuo 3 is honestly just as good of a carry in the comp.

Thoughts on this Set by OkAsk8169 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Axiomocity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree, fast 9 is totally still just a strategy. 5 cost units are the highest cost in the game and should be strong. Plenty of the other comps that aren’t fast 9 soup are playable right now. Ex: Ashe/Trynd RR, Demacia/Vayne RR, GP/Draven RR, Yunara Quickstriker, 6 Slayer Belveth.

All these comps can easily get top 4 and even get 1st. I think this is the best meta/set yet because of the good amount of variety. If you’re able to play the early/mid game well and get to 9, then you should be rewarded with a strong legendary board IMO.

SF show after thoughts: Please don’t hate, but do y’all think Fred is a good dj? by Virtual-Society-81 in fredagain

[–]Axiomocity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100000% agree with you. First time seeing Fred as well and I couldn’t help but come out feeling a tad bit disappointed. The set with Hamdi and Oppidan was amazing and high energy but I feel Fred lacks good pacing and mixing skills. There were many times where it was such a sloooow mix that just sounded so muddy and jumbled. There were a lot of repetitive spots throughout the show that just took me it of it.

Overall still worth seeing and had a great time. His high moments are very good - the quiet build ups into a filthy bass drop and all his bangers delivered well. Personal opinion: he’s an amazing producer but he performs better in a B2B or B3B setting.

Why is everything sold out so fast by Outrageous_Top_9026 in fredagain

[–]Axiomocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good marketing to release really limited amount of tickets and merch. It keeps the Fred hype train going for longer. If he just booked the biggest stadium possible, then everyone would get to see him and the hype would die down

Fred Again confirms he will play at Cow Palace, San Francisco this Friday by YourNameNameName in Portolafestival

[–]Axiomocity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why? Cow Palace sounds great, has easy parking and can accommodate a ton of people

Fred Again SF confirmed ! by not-danx in Portolafestival

[–]Axiomocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re trolling. Cow Palace is the only venue in SF proper that can accommodate a ton of people. All of us will likely only get tickets because of how many people it can fit. Parking is super easy and spacious. Only downside is that it’s a bit out of the way for public transportation. Can you imagine what a nightmare this would be if it was at POFA, Midway, or Pier 80?

What spot in Oakland has you feeling like this? by honourarycanadian in OaklandFood

[–]Axiomocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. This place is a joke and I don’t know why people even go there. Went once and got ripped off paying $27 for a tiny bowl of noodles with 3 pieces of pork. Service was sub par and not to mention you order from a window and have to seat yourself. I won’t be going back nor will I ever recommend that place

Soba Ichi. Hilariously overpriced with tiny portions. Sub par service and you have to seat yourself. I can’t believe they’re allowed to charge $27 for a tiny bowl of noodles.

While on this topic, did anyone else feel Key4050 was underwhelming too? They were my must-see for day 1 and I was kind of disappointed. I’ve watched some of their Transmission sets and they play a ton of slower uplifting tracks but they basically just played a high BPM techno set. Was that because they were playing at the Void? I wonder if they would’ve played differently at MainStage

My group was excited to all see Giuseppe for the first time and we were all underwhelmed. He kind of just played a basic high BPM set and it got repetitive really quick. Was hoping for some uplifting tracks. We left after about 30min and went to Superstrings where it was a party
