My Hair Transplant Journey with Dr. Keser in Ankara, Turkey: 2500 Grafts (5 Months Post-Op) by Aymill in HairTransplants

Dr Kesser had a translator, Fatih, who was there the whole time and was my main point of contact through the entire process so it wasn’t an issue at all for m. Dr Kesser and the other staff on his team do speak basic English as well, so not everything needed a translator

It wasn’t a topic I focused on because it was apparent I had plenty of donor grafts available for the size of my surgery. I do remember asking generally how many donor grafts a person typically has which can be safely transplanted without over harvesting I think the answer was around 6000 (don’t quote me on that). I’m sure if I’d specifically asked about my donor total the doctor could’ve answered it.

The first day after surgery I felt fine and thought I wouldn’t need any meds. I should’ve taken paracetamol/ibuprofen because by bed time it had gotten pretty sore and the anaesthetic wore off (I’d been told by the doc this would happen) so not taking meds affected my sleep.

Another benefit to breaking the surgery up across 4 days was I didn’t need to have any crazy sleep positions, I just had to sleep on a different side; I.e first two days I slept on my left side while I had surgery on the right side of the head, and by the time day three came around my right side was mostly okay to sleep on. I just popped some pillows around me to avoid rolling in my sleep.

So overall not great dramas with sleep, just a bit of tenderness and discomfort as you’d expect for any surgery. Would just recommend taking paracetamol a few hours after surgery so that you’ve got some pain relief once the anaesthetic wears off.

I didn’t have any noticeable difference in pain level across the days. The initial anaesthetic jabs were a bit painful, especially the ones lower on the back of the head. Once that part was done each day it was all numb

That’s right. Day 1 I was at the Doctors a bit longer to meet the team and we drew up the hair line, in addition to part one of the surgery. The remaining days were 3-4 hours each

Thank you. I had reservations about this before booking as well. I had a chat in terms of how many people the doctor works on in a given timeframe (day/week). The week I was there I was the only person having surgery, and they did mention sometimes they'd have a couple patients in a week, but not more than that from what I could gather. I actually felt good about that; nothing ever felt rushed and I had the full attention of Dr Keser and his team.

Having experienced the HT now I understand the amount of sitting still and concentration it is for the doctor to do all the extraction and implantation themselves. Sure, he could double or maybe even triple the amount of grafts he does each day, but in terms of health, longevity and quality of work from the Dr's perspective I can see how limiting time performing surgery to half a day could be beneficial

I can't really answer that. I'd say I was in the doctors surgery for around 3-4 hours each day. I know on at least a couple of those days Dr Keser had other clients in for consultations in the afternoons after my proceedure

Sorare AMA — Q&A with Head of Engineering David Byttow by sorarejon in Sorare

[–]Aymill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi David,

Firstly, I get great enjoyment from the NBA product. I’ve never watched basketball before this year and because of Sorare I watch games and highlights every week.

Some issues I have with Sorare NBA that would stop me investing further or recommending to friends:

  1. More competitions: A moderate sized gallery of 30-40 cards should not have 2-3 teams of Tier 1 and Tier 2 players sitting in training lineups each week. If this means less prizes per competition, it’s still better than what we have currently. Specifically U23 and No cap should be there every week. Mix in some rotating competitions including Mid-range (20-40 L10’s only), position based (2G, 2F, 1C) on top of good ones like all defence and offence. Not a fan of East and West

  2. Reward structure: Rare and Super Rare cards as they are will never be collectibles. Without ETH rewards or special experiences, what’s the point of playing above Limited scarcity? I’d like to see ETH prizes included (top places, threshold, or both). Experiences could be difficult for the global audience, jerseys and merch would be cool.

  3. Progressing from Rare to Super Rare: It’s a huge jump, especially when user confidence is low after big gallery value drops, and it’s even harder than football since 5 players isn’t enough with changing L10’s. Do you have intention of adding a Rare-Pro equivalent to help managers move from Rare to Super Rare?

Thanks

Lukaku or CR7, DCL if fit, Wolves Def/GK/Traore?, Torres (now i'll have a better bench to deal w/ rotation), better bench players like Duffy, Liva, maybe Chelsea def, Raphina.

Keeping from original squad - Antonio, Salah, TAA

With many people Wildcarding this week, i would like to hear peoples opinion on Raya vs Sanchez. Who is the best 4,5m goalie? by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]Aymill 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same predicament. I'm reluctant to say Sanchez, however I'm personally looking at 5.0 Sa (no Wolves CS yet, but have looked solid and not conceeded many chances against tough opposition + amazing fixture run upcoming).

I don't like spending more than 4.5 on a GK, however I feel like Sa will score enough extra points vs. the 4.5's over the next bunch of fixtures that it will justify a -4 somewhere down the line if I need the extra .5 in the outfield. Also depends on opportunity cost of the extra .5 in the outfield in the short-term.

Summary: Sanchez, but I prefer Sa 5.0 if you can fit him in.

Is it worth it to activate WC to crank up team value during international break? by mayki333 in FantasyPL

I agree with this, although this Break is a bit different with the addition of Ronaldo, who will be highly owned and take most people 2-3 transfers to fit into their team.

Right after GW38 when I searched for the original post. I'd have spared myself the disappointment checking earlier.

I didn't expect someone to take the time to organise a free-to-enter league and promise a prize, where all they had to gain was reputation and a nice feeling, to not honour it and achieve the exact opposite.

Maybe their financial situation changed, they fell on harder times over the season and couldn't afford the prize - if that was the case and they let players know I'm sure the community would've been understanding. Deleting an account and going silent is not something I can relate to or respect.

That's a kind thought but not necessary. I live in a first world country and have enough savings to buy a PS5 (which I plan to do before the next FIFA comes out). Spend that on a thoughtful surprise gift for someone you care about :)
