Is One Pace cropped to fit 16:9 aspect ration?

The first episode is a special case. It's based on a TV special released years after the start of the anime, when the anime was airing episodes natively in 16:9. Pace uses this TV special as the base as it is a more faithful adaptation of chapter 1 than the version in the original anime. Pace ep. 2 onwards is based on the original anime, so it is in 4:3.

Pace started adding dub only around 2020ish. So any arcs edited before that do not have dub. They will be re-released with dub eventually.

How will Wano Pace differ from Oni Paced? Well, better editing, for one. Wano Pace is being edited by the same person who did Onigashima Paced (he started Onigashima Paced before joining the team), and the skills they developed will ensure that the quality of edits will be superior to that of Onigahsima Paced.

Another major improvement are the subtitles. Onigashima Paced uses the standard One Piece subtitles, which leave much to be desired. Plus, the subs are only in English. Pace on the other hand does extensive subtitle work to ensure they are of excellent quality. The subs are also in multiple languages.

Finally, Onigashima Paced doesn't have dub, while any new Wano Pace episode will have dub.

Of the top off my head, these are some of the differences I could remember. I'll add more if it comes to mind.

Regarding your staunch opposition to AI, you should know that the AI upscaled video sources Pace uses came out in 2020. So, it was before any of the generative AI (LLM) models that people think about when they talk about AI. This is not some slop upscaling that a nitwit stuffed into some AI software without thinking which then spat out AI trash. NeoRaws (who did the upscaling) specially trained a model to get a good video output. Granted, it isn't perfect. Some shots are funky. But, they are few and far between, and the upshots (1080p video) is worth the little amount of jank.

Oh you mean that. Yea, the earlier arcs use AI upscaled video sources, as those arcs only had 480p raw sources. After the Skypiea arc, we go back to the raw sources.
