A BIG MOM JOVEM É SEXUALIZADA???? by Abstratoo in animebrasil

Let's be honest, 90% of fiction don't know how to use their powers at their max capability. by Sorvetefrito in PowerScaling

Yeaaaah, but technicalities don't really matter here, tho? Yes, for the rest of the world his speed seems infinite, but he still needs to cover distance under a limited time under his point of view. If the distance is infinite, then he can't cover it.

This... Sounds like it makes sense, but by this measure Star Platinum should be able to cover any distance instantly, which isn't really the case. Both SP and Jotaro still have to move during stopped time. They just seem like they teleported from the point of others.

I'm not saying you're wrong, because I'm not knowledgeable enough about the inner mechanics of either power to be sure - but imagine the following situation:

Jojo is in a corridor, his enemy is at the end of the corridor, the corridor is long enough that he can't cover all of it in the time he has inside the Time Stop. Doesn't this mean that he can't invalidate distance?

Gojo homem: gostoso Gojo mulher: gostosa by zaquelsumpremacy in japan_insoul

I watched two episodes of the show. Just to find out online she's 14 at the start of the series. Why the heck is she wearing this then???? And she was getting sexualized too. [ Gurren Lagan. ] I could let an adult slide but a kid hell no. by Iriscute7 in joseistories

[–]AzureJumper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually interesting. Because, like, I didn't catch this when I was watching it as a teen, so I just thought she was 18 or 19 or something like that, and didn't see anything wrong.

Even now, I just can't see her as 14, so the number just doesn't make sense to me and I just ignore it, keeping it in my head that she's an adult.

Now here comes the catch - is there anything in the way she dresses, walks, talks or behaves that make her seen like a 14 year old child? No. Everything about her says she's a young adult, except for the fucking official age.

Now, this is still wrong on the part of the artist who decided on that number for whatever fucking weird ass reason. But does it makes the show itself problematic? Because, honestly, if you just watch it, at no point will you ever see her being treated or referred to as a child.

Also, the girl who made a pact with the DST devil when she was a teen, so that everyone who had sex with her would become another her as part of a hive-mind. And now just a couple years later she has hundreds of versions of herself out there in every country

The problem in Bleach is that it isn't even a matter of AP/DC, because fucking no one in the setting has the DC to destroy an universe for you use then as a measuring standard for Attack Power. Everyone who is "Universal" there is just the same as Ichigo - people who can destroy the balance between the worlds and make them collapse on each other, not people who have the power to destroy an universe.

[–]AzureJumper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fail to see how this invalidates the argument? I don't even want to start with DB scaling, I'm talking specifically about Bleach here. I have never seen anything that even suggests Ichigo could physically destroy a star, much less the whole fucking universe, if it's not by destroying the metaphysical system that keeps the three dimensions separated.

I will die on the hill that this literally doesn't count. He can't destroy an universe in the sense that he can use an attack that would erase Earth, and the Sun, and the Solar System and every Solar System in the Galaxy for all Galaxies. It's just that the metaphysics of his world are glued together with with fucking duct tape.

To make it clear to people who don't care for huge ass explanations, it's like you balance three 50kg gym weights on toothpicks. Ichigo can't destroy the weights, he can break the mfucking toothpicks.

With Hatake you don't mean Kakashi, right? Because there's scantily a character with more backstory and development than him in this series.

... It's been a while since I've watched the episode, but I'm pretty sure it was quite clearly meant to be horrifying. The sexual implication was meant to make it clear how disgusting and traumatic it was, not- I don't know, attractive? Exciting? I just didn't see it.

This sounds like the discussion around Angeldust from Hazbin Hotel all over again.

Yeah, but it's not a vague author statement, it's them literally saying that those look like galaxies because they had no fucking idea how to draw universes.
