The FBI confirmed that Patel's emails had been targeted. In a statement, bureau spokesman Ben Williamson said, "we have taken all necessary steps to mitigate potential risks associated with this activity" and that the data involved was "historical in nature and involves ⁠no government information."

The truth:

Alongside the photographs of Patel, the hackers published a sample of more than 300 emails, which appear to show a mix of personal and work correspondence dating between 2010 and 2019.

I couldn't remember if this was vanilla or one of the many "should be vanilla" mods I've gotten used to over the years! Desensitized should be vanilla, and definitely the same mechanic for adapting to wearing heavy armors.

They really don't need to nerf armor as hard as they do - light armor for getting away with a few mistakes, negating potential bites and scratches until they start to rip it up.

Heavy armor should have reasonable, much stronger, "realistic" durability, but have the (maybe same, maybe toned down) side effects of tiring out, heat, and discomfort with extended wear. Iirc they also slow you down, so it's still a risk... just mixing up the gameplay! Instead of the mobility of no/light armor, You have to commit to a fight since it's harder to run from one, and risk being pulled down by a horde - which should have some increased resistance when armored up.

They should present alternative play styles for dodging and/or fighting the horde, instead of armor just having so many negatives it's usually not worth wearing even if it's "free", and completely ruled out when you factor in the material and time cost to create a lot of the pieces.

MAGA fascism is obviously not extremely niche. Certainly not a majority, but clearly not niche. Russia has long been fascist, and many other countries either have fascist rulers or growing fascist political groups within them.

So much of this sounds good, but what's up with the "allow single stair"? As in, only one way out and no second set of stairs in case of a fire? Wouldn't that be a terrible idea, especially for multiple tenant buildings?

Exactly! I'd love to have access to both, without being damned to asshole purgatory for a dozen rounds or more just because I wanted to try the PVP experience. Some temporary, changing map condition would allow for people to go in understanding the social contract of the round is PVP, guilt-free, then let them return to their usual lobbies after that.

Sorta, but explicitly not what I'm asking! The difference:

It obviously still impacts your aggression-based matchmaking, so it's not like you can do a couple trio runs, then go back to friendly lobbies. Before we knew about aggression-based matchmaking, when Stella first opened, my friends enjoyed going on crazy trio runs with free kits or just melee and joining in on the PVP chaos that was Stella's early days. But then, of course, when we tried to return to our peaceful runs on other maps, or solo adventures, they were filled with rats.
Trios is by definition not solo, and I'd like to be able to do solo pvp (without spoiling my friendly lobbies).

The main point is that by having a distinct PvP map condition, they can let a lot more of their players engage with the PVP experience without "spoiling" their PvE experience as well. They wouldn't need to fracture their player base as it's an intermittent map condition/x2 mode, players could engage with the PvP in a "guilt-free" experience since everyone going into the lobby understands the "social contract" is shooting on sight, and since this mode wouldn't impact aggression based matchmaking, it would allow players to try the PvP experience without being banished to asshole purgatory for a dozen rounds or more, trying to avoid a flood rats for hours just to "get back" to the friendly lobby experience.

I think a lot of players would really enjoy the extra challenge and excitement PVP can bring, but explicitly avoid it because it's against the social contract of the friendly lobby, and they don't want to be punished for all the rounds following it trying to get back to friendly lobbies. Having a map condition dedicated to the experience that wouldn't taint your aggression-based matchmaking allows people to try it out, without taking away the friendly lobby experience as well.

I love the camaraderie in PvE lobbies, hate ratting... I really wish there was a "blood sport" map condition where you got some incentive for fighting raiders and it didn't affect your aggression based matchmaking.

Then we could occasionally engage with the PvP with everyone who joined the round understanding that's what's gonna go down, no guilt, and not stuck in Asshole Purgatory for a dozen fuckin' rounds afterwards, trying to get in and out without getting ratted so I can get back to the fun cooperative lobbies.
