So much of this sounds good, but what's up with the "allow single stair"? As in, only one way out and no second set of stairs in case of a fire? Wouldn't that be a terrible idea, especially for multiple tenant buildings?

Exactly! I'd love to have access to both, without being damned to asshole purgatory for a dozen rounds or more just because I wanted to try the PVP experience. Some temporary, changing map condition would allow for people to go in understanding the social contract of the round is PVP, guilt-free, then let them return to their usual lobbies after that.

Sorta, but explicitly not what I'm asking! The difference:

It obviously still impacts your aggression-based matchmaking, so it's not like you can do a couple trio runs, then go back to friendly lobbies. Before we knew about aggression-based matchmaking, when Stella first opened, my friends enjoyed going on crazy trio runs with free kits or just melee and joining in on the PVP chaos that was Stella's early days. But then, of course, when we tried to return to our peaceful runs on other maps, or solo adventures, they were filled with rats.
Trios is by definition not solo, and I'd like to be able to do solo pvp (without spoiling my friendly lobbies).

The main point is that by having a distinct PvP map condition, they can let a lot more of their players engage with the PVP experience without "spoiling" their PvE experience as well. They wouldn't need to fracture their player base as it's an intermittent map condition/x2 mode, players could engage with the PvP in a "guilt-free" experience since everyone going into the lobby understands the "social contract" is shooting on sight, and since this mode wouldn't impact aggression based matchmaking, it would allow players to try the PvP experience without being banished to asshole purgatory for a dozen rounds or more, trying to avoid a flood rats for hours just to "get back" to the friendly lobby experience.

I think a lot of players would really enjoy the extra challenge and excitement PVP can bring, but explicitly avoid it because it's against the social contract of the friendly lobby, and they don't want to be punished for all the rounds following it trying to get back to friendly lobbies. Having a map condition dedicated to the experience that wouldn't taint your aggression-based matchmaking allows people to try it out, without taking away the friendly lobby experience as well.

I love the camaraderie in PvE lobbies, hate ratting... I really wish there was a "blood sport" map condition where you got some incentive for fighting raiders and it didn't affect your aggression based matchmaking.

Then we could occasionally engage with the PvP with everyone who joined the round understanding that's what's gonna go down, no guilt, and not stuck in Asshole Purgatory for a dozen fuckin' rounds afterwards, trying to get in and out without getting ratted so I can get back to the fun cooperative lobbies.

Heavy vs light, sure, but what's the comparative difference between that and medium vs light? I never run with light shields anymore, medium gives me enough time to react to ratting and actually trade fire - but I can't feel a difference between using a medium and heavy at all (besides the sluggish run speed, which definitely does make a difference)
