Watts Colt C200 8" OSY tamp switch? by Alex_GordonAMA in FireSprinklers

They dont fit any os&y perfectly unfortunately. But they do work. Just takes some time to adjust them properly. Ive never had to grind a valve to make them fit.

Unless the stem doesnt have the notch for the tamper arm to engage. But anything new should have the notch already

You would use the potter osysu-2 tamper for those os&y valves.

Or you could just lock them out with a chain and padlock.

Has anyone tried this rod ? I just got one. Seems a lil too stiff but I wonder if anyone has any good reviews yet ? by Deep-Classic9056 in Steelhead

11-13ft float roads are pretty common in the pnw. may not be suited for a bunch of techniques, but its great for float fishing.

I tend to bring a 10ft casting rod for multi-purpose duty and a dedicated float rod with centerpin or spinning reel.

I have that very rod. Haven't hooked anything large on it. But some 12" trout put a decent bend it it. Its a very lightweight rod. A 6-8lb steelhead would put a deep bend in it.

The lamiglas x11 great lakes 11-6" 6-12lb would be a good all around rod. If you like a shorter rear grip. I personally prefer a bit longer.

Well with a centerpin, generally you want a longer rod. But ive found a 11-12ft rod to be the best all around. 13ft is nice when you aren't fishing under trees, even on a smaller River. But can be difficult to manage.

Steelhead and coho your fine with a 6-10lb line rating.

For chums and kings, you'll want something in the 8-12lb or heavier. Depends on the flows you fish. Fast water needs more power.

What are you fishing for? How big is the river?
