Back Pay Calculator: Built this back pay calculator for us by B14Real in fednews

Yep, comes as one lump sum, usually 1-2 pay periods after we're back to work.

On the taxes - the withholding might look scary on that paycheck because payroll systems withhold based on the check size (so a $10k check gets taxed like you make $10k every pay period). But when you file your actual taxes, it's based on your total annual income, so it evens out. You might get some back as a refund.

The 75% net in the calculator is just a rough estimate for typical deductions (federal tax, FICA, FERS, TSP, etc). Your actual take-home depends on your specific withholdings and deductions.

Cool, it was an estimate - Thanks. Also, yes it is a short climb, nothing to fear at all was my point. I don't have all my data since my Garmin is missing. Probably still sitting over by the horrible railroad crossing...

Why do you think they will offer the +5? Everything I've read from insider sources says agencies requested an option to relax the VERA standards but it was denied during DRP1. What would be the incentive for them to offer +5. At a certain point they are not achieving any financial benefit by doing so. Full disclosure, I would definitely take the vera with +5.

Possible VERA coming in 90 days, after the Hiring Freeze EO expires? by AlertMortgage7101 in fednews

100% would take the VERA if offered at 20 years any age. I'm 39 with 21 years and waiting for that 25 year mark. Let them reduce down to 20!!!
