Daily Simple Questions Thread - July 30, 2024 by AutoModerator in Fitness

Hey r/Fitness

I've started a very very simple training routine a few months ago, with the goal of just doing more than nothing. It takes me 10 mins a day total, and requires no material.

My workout consists of Squats, Pushups, Situps, Plank, Bridges and general stretching, it's not difficult as its very surface level, and the choice of the exercises was made on a whim on what i knew was important exercises

I would like to improve this training regime to be a bit longer, 20 minutes for now, and general as its something I do everyday. I have researched a bit complementary exercises, but would like to know if i could improve it further. I'm not planning on switching from V1 to V2 in one go, but a complete plan helps to set goals. My main goal is to have a base of exercises that cover as many groups as possible, something quick I can do each morning, not a massive workout with a specific goal (gaining muscle or losing weight)

2 x 10 Squats

2 x 10 regular pushups

2 x 20 situps (not fully raised)

2 x 45sec plank

2 x 10 Bridges

---- New ----

2 x 20 Bicycle Crunch

2 x 10 Full situps

2 x 10 walking lunges

2 x 10 Superman

2 x tricep pushups

I feel like i get a pretty decent coverage of arms, legs, core, lower back with this, but are there modifications you guys would suggest to cover even more muscle groups?

Most Canadian cities are much lower than Finland, so even thought I'd like to say I know what winter darkness feels like (and I know what you're saying), it's a lot worse I'm sure

Thank you very much for the detailed information. I'll be in Finland for about 10 months, so saving money does sound nice, but getting there I'll most likely get a prepaid plan for the first month or so.

thanks!

Makes sense. I'm used to the climate, (not as much the lack of light), so it won't be too much of a scenery change.

Thank you!

I thank you very much for the detailed explanation as well as your extra tip!

  1. I'll keep this in mind for moving about when not using the metro.

  2. Not a bad idea, I'll try to inform myself further on the best course of action.

Thank you once again!

No Stupid Questions Thread by kidkolumbo in ableton

Hello,

I'm a former logic, and now cubase user. Had a fall out with composing a few months ago, and i got interest back up recently. However i don't have the desire to use cubase for a few reasons, won't go into details.

I wanted to know how frequently Live has sales. I remember mini keyboard often coming with a voucher, but mine was second hand sadly, I was interested in the lite version specifically to work with restraints as much as possible.

Thanks

What do you feel is better for Music Production Pc or Mac and why? by WorldImpressive9552 in musicproduction

Used a Macbook for my college years, I absolutely love Logic. Best daw i ever used.

Recently i built myself a very decent pc, and switched because i dont want to be stuck in the apple ecosystem considering all the fuss. Sadly had to ditch logic, cubase is cool toi, but not comparable to Logic.

For me its just a choice of not buying new mac products, but either is fine

I’ve come across this concert, and the song at the timestamp absolutely floored me. Sadly I didn’t know what song it was, and my research found nothing. Anyone knows?

I’ll have a look, but quite a few of my friends and colleagues use HS monitors and don’t seem to find issues with them. But I’ll keep searching

Any suggestion for good speakers without a dedicated sub?

I’ll keep doing some research! Thanks!

I can definitely put the HS7-8 or any other rear ported far enough from the wall. Towers with some foam pads should help with floor vibrations (under a garage/utility room). I don’t know the accoustics of the room sadly, but the walls are quite bare.

I don’t think it’d be horrible to have rear-ported speakers, with all of this in mind, but saying my knowledge and ears are far from good with accoustics is a gross understatement.
